If I had a vote I would have not changed the interface on iOS, just improved items. I’m happy about the speaker individual adjustment but that is where it stops. I have 11 Sonos devices and am not happy w an auto update that blew out my connectivity.
below are several items but an initial problem right now discovered this morning since everything is now up and running… I turned on the app with my iPhone, but my iPhone is not turning off the Sonos. I have to tell Sonos to turn off through my play one.
There is some kind of glitch…
The rest of the stuff below is what I’ve discovered since yesterday afternoon… Have a good read
Love my products! don’t like this change!
Image 1 - what happened to play/pause on display?!? Have to go a level deeper to pause or shout Sonos off!
Image 2 no volume # in this page for group speakers… so you can’t learn what # is what level
Image 3 you have a selection to play everywhere but why not an unselect all???
also… why is the font and images so big?!? You need to scroll through like a year of birth Rolodex to get to all devices
next, why are the icons so big and why is the app wasting process changing color “overall” vs just leaving channel selection… when I turn on my Sonos in my bedroom at four in the morning, I don’t need my phone glowing in the dark!!
And lastly… It was very difficult to get my system back online… With the app update devices were knocked off, and my desktop app was also disrupted. Worked with Customer Service found out that you need to sign out of your iPhone app and then things start to re-register!!!
Yes, I am getting better sound out of my play ones, I haven’t test drove the whole system and the tuning just yet…
But developers… The interface could’ve just been left as simple as it was now you are moving between too many screens and finding bits and pieces in different places… The interface really didn’t need to change… And it probably would’ve saved a lot of the Customer Service time now being used to get everybody re-registered from all the knockouts.
