latest sonos app - very disappointing

Several issues:

  • I think it’s now connected to the system via Apple Play because the sound is not as good as it was before (same quality as if it was streaming via Apple Play. Very disappointing.
  • the app is not intuitive and very confusing to use.  I don’t know why changes were made.  The last one was much better.
  • so many controls are lost, e.g. adding to queue, managing of queue, etc…

i guess Sonos just lost the edge…

I totally agree.  It is very frustrating to do simple things that used to be a breeze.  I can’t access my music library at all through the mobile app.  I have to use my desktop, which still works pretty darn well.   It really makes me wonder if Sonos is going to be make music handler for very long.

I can’t access my own music library using the mobile app either. Only via my PC. But if i do that i can see on the app what is playing.
New app seems to be a little way off being properly user friendly.  Hoping Sonos resolve these issues soon.

This latest “update” is a disaster for me. How in the H can you manage your Queue? Used to be so easy and intuitive. Accessing music library seems non existent……I have praised Sonos for years but this latest “upgrade” is totally user unfriendly for me. Very disappointed….
