I am worn out from 7 months of my sonos system not working. I own 8 speakers and have decided to try sell them and use another system for wireless music in my home. Any ideas? Hate to trash them but…Stephen
Explain your issues and maybe we can help.
Trashing them is only solution. I’ve wasted $5k on what was once a great brand. Corporate greed to force us to subscribe to them ruined them. I feel your pain
Moderator edit: The only subscription Sonos offers is to Sonos Radio HD
Used Sonos speakers sell pretty well. You can make a lot of your money back by selling them on Facebook Marketplace or eBay. I’m sure friends and family members would be happy to take them off your hands too if you are willing to offer them a good deal.
I’m with you Just so frustrated with Sonos. Ready to dump I’ve heard Best Buy has a trade in program, but be prepared for a huge loss.
Going through a store you'd have to give up their profit margin, ebay and the like should let you pocket more.
The app is an unacceptable mess now. They should be offering a buy back program as payback for destroying the user experience. We paid so much for these speakers. I actually came here initially looking to see if there was any type of class action against them for what they’ve done. Not mention they’ve failed to make the app acceptable for over a year now.

A year??? Your chronometer must be broken.
The app wasn’t refreshed until May of 2024. Granted there have been issues however the majority of those have been addressed and the app is stable for the most part.
I personally am not having any issues that hinders my enjoyment. In fact my system has worked steadily all alone.
If you have been having issues for over a year then there something else afoot in your system. Possibly networking.
Why not describe your issues and maybe the community can help you sort things out.
I suppose 8 months has felt like a year when compound with frustration. A constant and standard issue is with the app being able to control the volume on the speakers. I have several all over the house. In my theatre room I paired a set on play ones with a beam. When I open the app to adjust the volume, the ones show paired but the volume doesn’t register. I can scale up and down on the beam but not the ones. I have to swipe the app closed 1-2 times and reopen it and then the volume appears on the ones.
When I try to start new music on the ones in my bathroom it will freeze and then finally produce the result from the command I gave it a minute later. The linking with SoundCloud has been a problem for the majority of the last while, though that seems to be a bit better.
The volume issues have been fixed (for most of us) in the newer updates. You might want to confirm all your devices and controllers are on the latest.
Do an update first but then confirm version numbers under Settings - About.
