How can new Sonos App SUCK SO BAD? No hope but to throw all Sonos speakers OUT A WINDOW?!
The new Sonos App is SO ATROCIOUSLY BAD that it scares me - makes me think management is so far gone that there is no hope for restoring minimal user experience.
I have never experienced anything like this from a real company taking enormous sums of money from customers and then slamming us all into hell. WTF??

Regardless of whos asking these questions and who's answering them, Sonos has lost control of the narrative. No long are we talking about integrated sound, we are instead talking about an app that is grossly inept and incredibly frustrating to use. It's undermining the user experience to the point I feel angst every time I want to play music. I'm about to get frustrated!!!!
Every time Sonos put something out on social media it is immediately barraged with unhappy customers’ complaints. They appear deaf to such issues but surely they must be wondering why their share price has been tumbling? Maybe due for a takeover by a company with plenty of spare cash and good programmers…
Please help us Apple!
The new apps sucks
Why is this app so bad! It’s unusable. This is ridiculous for such an expensive system! Sort it out or give me a refund and I’ll shop somewhere else from now on!!

Thanks, @Richard fish for joining the forums today and sharing your views with us. (And well done for keeping your silence until now.) I’m sure Sonos will respond soon to your threat/promise.
The new app is pure garbage. Unusable. So frustrating!!
Please roll this update back.
Yes got to say new app is absolutely useless tried to reboot everything in the right order and now the damn thing doesn’t even recognise my password . What a shambles from this company .
This is interesting when playing music via SiriusXM.
I get no album art through the Sonos app whereas my Brilliant switch and the SonoPhone app display everything correctly. Sonos app has been pushed to the bottom of my list.
SONOS have destroyed there system with this app change. I have 21 speakers in 2 homes, raved about SONOS to many people. I am ready to change as it is now just bad and I am fed up with the instability and always trying to find speakers or unable to stop music. Sorry SONOS this was a disaster and now I tell people to stay away from your system

I just looked at your profile and it shows that your Sonos system consists of mainly older speakers, that would work well on the S1 app. There is one, the Play 5 Gen 1 and maybe the Connect and Connect amp that may only be S1 compatible.
You are a great candidate for a downgrade from the S2 app to the S1 app. I am sure you will be happy with this changes because it will make your life less stressful.
My 2 play 5’ s and connect are no longer in use be cause the App does not support them. But ERA 300s, New Gen Play 5, Arc Sound bars, Play 1, Play 3s and Subwoofers are all compatable. So this downgrade supports my view that SONOS is no longer for me.
If you’re selling them, you’ll probably get a decent price on eBay. That’s where I have sold older speakers and there is still significant interest. Good luck with your listings. (Sonos won’t be concerned that you are selling your speakers, if that was the intention, as they got your money at the start when you bought them.)
Wildd xStream Roku app still controlling Sonos like a champ. iOS on the other hand… not so good.

A-MEN! Man Im bummed. Bought the 5. Sound is more than adequate and build is nice. Worked at my home network OK. I bought this 10lb speaker to take along for business travel. Yup. Its bulky but I can work that part out. What I CANT work out is the inability to do anything with getting it connected to any of the “Other” routers where I travel. The biggest pisser is that I cant seem to go to the audio plug “Aux” cable connect to even my iphone. Because apparently, wait for it, I have to be wifi connected to turn the port on? WTF? I am hoping that yet again its just that I am too stupid to figure it out. But, so far, it is starting to look like this is indeed the case. Hey Amazon returns, I got something for ya. Pissssss.
Im about to go get a whole new system,Im tired of having to reprogram the speakers everytime I go to use them . This is a huge failure.
Agree. The Sonos speakers should work like a phone where they automatically connect to networks you have connected to in the past. If you wish to “forget” that network then that option should also be available.
I took a player to the office and joined that network. When I brought that player home, it updated the other players. Now I can seamlessly take any player to the office.
You can also Remove a network. Note that I have not explored the cases while a player is at the office and I removed the office network from the units at home or the converse of removing the office network from a player while it is at the office.
