Dynamic Pricing

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know.  Sonos just sent out a 20% off link to “Loyal Customers.”

Before clicking that link, check the prices on the site.  Use incognito mode.  Right now the Move2 I’ve been wanting is $499 marked down to $399.  But not when you hit that link!  The “Loyal Suckers” get a price of $649 marked down to $519!

Wow, what a shady practice!  Some states are actively working on legislation to make this illegal.  Repeat customers get taken advantage of.  Isn’t it supposed to the the opposite?  Aren’t you supposed to treat your customers well?  We have to deal with bad apps, disabling old hardware that still works fine, and now paying more if you’re a return customer.

I expect this post will be deleted shortly after posting, but at least I hope some of you see it before you fall victim to this scam.

Hi @bbutle01, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I’ve had a look into the sale price, and it should display as $499 marked down to $399; I could see the same price when I checked. For the $649 marked down to $519 price, I was able to see this when the store region was set to Canada. It’s possible that the link in your email is redirecting you to the wrong store, so I’d suggest scrolling to the bottom of the page after selecting the link and changing your region by clicking the flag icon in the bottom right corner.

If you’re on the correct region on the website but still seeing the wrong price, could you please reply with a screenshot displaying that so I can follow up with the team? Preferable including the URL in the picture so it shows the region indicator.

Your post was pending for review, however we only remove or edit posts that violate the Community Terms & Conditions, so we don’t see any need to delete this.

I hope this information helps.
