I pretty much never complain in forums but I can’t just accept this any longer. We’ve had Sonos since forever and connectivity has only gotten worse. From losing home screen access to now when it just takes its sweet time to connect, if at all. I’ve counted a full minute before the app responds and sometimes it just can’t find the system. When you’re trying to mute the tv, that’s pointless. When you’re trying to change songs, that’s pointless. I’ve tried reinstalling, the web app, different devices, prioritizing the connection. Nothing helps. Our home is TINY and kitted it out fully so forget about telling us there is interference. Every other device--and we have many--work just fine.

Connectivity is the BASIS of this system. How is this a viable business at this point? We’ve sunk all this cash in and feel fully ripped off. The frustration in our house, including with our guests, is ridiculous. I know this is a champagne problem but it’s also commerce. We PAID for this top-line system and we’re getting ads to buy more and not much else.

Surely this will be ignored as yet another gripe. Well guess what? We bought after friends recommended then we recommended to others. That’s over. We’re stuck with this failing system until we can replace it but believe me, that’s happening as soon as we can find cash. At least it won’t be anywhere near the thousands sunk into this company.

Certainly a lot of people are having trouble with the new firmware/app, but it is not as many as in the past, and many have had no trouble at all, so there is hope that your troubles can be rectified.  Have you tried submitting a diagnostic, and contacting Sonos support?

Is your system fully updated (not the app, the speakers), per the update from last week?
