At last the alarm control is back … but it’s a bit hidden … how about - for those of us that have to change/access the alarm times regularly - being able to add quick access to the alarm settings on the Sonos app Home Page - if don’t want it. Turn it off; if use it loads, drag it to the top of the page … just a UI idea …
Hi, it seems to be impossible to listen to my sonos system after the upgrade. It either cannot find the components or it cannot connect. I dropped it. I now use native Spotify to play music. If it does not get fixed I’ll kick everything out and buy some better stuff
Tried everyting. Rebooted Roam. Rebooted router. Of my 10 Sonos unit this one Roam just won’t update… error 30! forever. And NO use of it now - NO connection. (Now is says error 1001… gosh)Now what? (Also - hate the new app: my 50k plus tracks on my NAS are not accesable anymore - I am appauled - even Sonos fan boys are … silent). Shame on you, Sonos.
Well, I uninstalled new upgrade from my pc went back to s2 which is working fine. My Android phone however is a different story. Sitting in my house surrounded by 10 speakers and this is what I get...think I'm going to pass on your "most requested” product that's dropping on Tuesday.
I am no longer able to point Sonos to my music library - when will this get resolved or has Sonos decided it’s products will only support streamers? No point in sending me information about new hardware if I can’t listen to music I liked enough to purchase - I have thousands of songs I can’t access with Sonos and numerous playlists derived from my music library that I can no longer play with the Sonos system . Is anyone working to resolve this?
How do I mute on the new Android app? Help!!
Hi everyone. So my current set up is:LG C2 OLED TVSony UBP X-700 4K blu ray playerSonos Arc + 2x Play 1’s and Sub.I’ve had the above set-up for over 6 months now and have never had any issues playing any of my 4K discs. I’ve never had to fiddle with any settings on the TV or Blu Ray player, just pop them in and they will play fine. However, in the past week all of my DTS-HD 5.1 discs have suddenly stopped playing any sound. My discs that are Atmos, DTS:X or DTS-HD 7.1 all still work perfectly - but every single 5.1 disc is silent. Checking the threads on here i can find various suggestions for different settings on the TV and BR player, but having spent hours going through trying different ones and while most didn’t work, i have now managed to get it working by changing the Digital Sound Output setting on the TV to PCM. After changing this, my Sonos app now shows ‘Stereo PCM’ instead of ‘DTS-HD 5.1’ as it has always done.My questions are:Has anyone else (hopefully with the same setup as
All of the sudden my library and the ability to handle music libraries vanished.
Is the alarm system coming back
Sonos 5 not updating
Hate the new improved app? Where the fygk is the EQ? TRY Easy EQ for Sonos (Google Playstore)
LG smart Tv set the audio output to Sonos Move2from the Sonos app select 2 x play 1 I would usually select the above when watching You Tubeive updated to the new Sonos app and now adding other speakers doesn’t work (please try later) message-have reset all speakers / rebooted router / reinstalled Sonos app / hardwired speakers (rj45) / still not functioning - will only link to the Move2
Just a heads-up to those who may be upgrading to the new iOS app, there is an issue where the URLs we have put in via “TuneIn” on the older MacOS controller are not being propagated to the iOS app. I talked with support, they are aware of it and will be fixing it in the near future.I presume they will make sure that is not an issue prior to releasing the update to MacOS.In the new iOS app, “TuneIn” appears to be a paid service now. So I’m not sure how they’re going to mix all of this up. In my case, I subscribe to another service (for years) that uses URLs to play their mixes and I really use a lot of their stuff, so I am anxious to have this fixed up.
I have a Sonos Arc connected to a Pioneer PDP-LX508a Plasma.because of the age of the TV it does not have ARC and will not pass HDMI audio through to the optical out it will only pass it through analog….strange I know.for me to use the Sonos Arc I had to use one of those small analog to digital converters with optical out and connect the optical using the Sonos optical to HDMI converter ….this worked a treat for the last 12 months until the last day or two, it stopped passing the audio.i have tried everything to find the problem and the only thing I can come up with is that Sonos has done an update and it’s broken the Sonos optical to HDMI adapter 😡…..but I have a work around for it !!I had an old ZP80 lying around not doing anything So i noticed it had an analog line in and an optical out.I fired up the old S1 app and connected it to the network, then I selected line in, connected the analog out from my TV and connected the optical adapter to the ARC and sound !!So until it gets rec
I am VERY UPSET over this new app and update . Why change something that was working just fine ? . 1 speaker out of 7 is working . So much money invested on a system that WONT WORK . I’m pissed
The response from Sonos to the outcry from (previously) loyal fans following the debacle of the latest (May 2024) app update is not only inadequate, it is poorly written and pays no regard to the investment we have made over he the past decade to what had been a quality-driven product. Like others, I will be divesting and re-investing in better products and better management. Despite my efforts to replace the immensely flawed recent app with the last functioning app (16.1) AND setting options to NOT auto-update, every 24hrs or so the app is replaced with the new immensely problematic version. I've been a loyal customer, investing MANY thousands of dollars in multiple systems... Lacking any reasonable response from. SONOS to another obvious issue, I'm cutting chords.
I know this garbage app has ruined everyone’s system. Anyone know how to get a sub to reconnect to their system. I’ve spent 3 ½ hours on it. This app needs to be in the trash and the old app put back on the App Store. Knowing Sonos it will be years till it’s fixed.
So, at this point we're all more than aware of what an elementary update Sonos recently released, but one thing I haven't seen or heard mentioned is; are they going to bring back the TV function?!? I am having to go into my office and use the app on the Windows to switch from music to TV and beyond annoying at this point.... everything about this release was questionable and if they don't correct these issues, they're going to lose a lot of customers! Over it!
Well actually a lot of things has gone totally down the drain with the new app update Alarm Add to queue NASBasic features and most of all features that retailers advertised and sold the Sonos products upon, and now it's gone without any notice or any option to opt out of an update that actually, apart from a new look, remives features.Well I am in DK, bought the Sonos from a retailer covering the Nordic Europe. Should I and all others contact the retailer saying ‘Well this is not what You sold me. The features You told me about are gone. This is not what I bought. I want to return it'Really Sonos. Either add the features or let user have the ability to down grade. Also wondering, what was the intend with the new app? How has it succeeded so far 🤷♂️
After updating(not considering this an upgrade) to the new app I can see all of my devices after having to reboot all amps and my wifi to get the app to function at all. The issue I have now is that the only way I can get music to my amps is to select one of my other devices, start playing music on it and then join the amp to that group. The amps each show “No Music / Queue is Empty” when selected and if I select one of my streaming apps to begin music I get a spinning arrow for a bit when I select the play button and then it just resets back to the play button and nothing happens. This really should not be this difficult, but can anyone tell me how to start streaming to a sonos amp that is showing “No Music / Queue is Empty” without having to start music on another device and then join the amp?
Does anyone have any idea how you manage different rooms on iOS now? The Sonos app, on my iPad defaults to the first alphabetical device but then refuses to switch to a group playing on another device. It works ok on Android. I say it works ok, it’s a stupid number of button presses but I can do it.I’ve no idea why it would always have to default to devices alphabetically, rather than the last device used as it used to, but it seems strange you can’t access other devices that are playing.I press the device button, get a list of devices, uncheck the one I don’t want, check the one I do want, press apply and it returns to the one I don’t want.
I have a family group, but my bedroom group has disappeared. How do I get it back?
Hi Sonos. Could you please update us when you'll reinstate the old version of the app as this new one is totally useless. Read reviews on Google play. It jumps between ERA 300 to the Arc and more than half the time can't find product. You have and will lose so many customers.
Ever since we’ve downloaded the update I am having these issues Having a hard time controlling play. Have to switch between iPad, phone and computers to get it to work during playing. Various zones top playing. I go back in and chose the zones I want to have music and reselect. That works for 2-3 min and I have to do it all over again one zone just intermittently stops for up to a min
I can probably live with the updated Sonos app, but not if I can’t rescan and update my local Music Library. Half the music I listen to within my Sonos system exists on my network attached storage, which I add to regularly. In the new app I cannot find the manage/update library command that I have used for for years. Am I looking in the wrong places? Is updating the music library no longer allowed? No longer necessary? Although the Sonos App update is brutal (particularly when trying to program music for different rooms), the primary value of Sonos for me has been the ease with which I previously was able to access the thousands of music files I have stored on my NAS.
