Makes sense, with the ‘app’ being only a remote control, that you’d experience the same thing, under the assumption the network difficulty you’re running in to is between the speakers and the network.

I’d start with a full refresh, by unplugging all your Sonos devices from power, then reboot your router. Wait two minutes, then plug back in the Sonos devices.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, and I think it will, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, they get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

I have a case number open already with support

Ok when I turn TV autoplay on, music tracks drop.  Turn it off plays flawlessly.

Replicated 5 times.   Say what you want, it works with TV Autoplay off, drops with it on.

Anyone else experienced this???

I would have expected a diagnostic to clearly evidence the music stopping due to TV Autoplay being activated.

It is not normal behaviour for a music stream to stop due solely to TV Autoplay being enabled.

When the issue occurs for you, does the Sonos app show the Arc Ultra source now being TV audio? Or does the Arc Ultra “Now Playing” still show the music stream and is the track still playing (silently) or has the stream actually stopped?

When the issue happened it would say TV Audio.

The system is still playing flawlessly.  And let me tell everyone, music in Dolby Atmos out of Apple Music is TOTALLY SO IMMERSIVE AND UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME.

New Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub 4, WOW

That small detail would have identified the issue much quicker.

Surprised support were not able to confirm TV Autoplay being the culprit from reviewing a diagnostic.

Possibly a future firmware update for your TV will resolve the Autoplay issue as it’s not a common report.

Glad you are able to enjoy your music streaming without interruption in the meantime!

The “Best Answer” to contact support didn’t do the OP any favours when they already had a case open with them and they never identified the issue.

Hopefully appropriate feedback will be provided to the agent(s) they spoke with.
