Why is there so much trouble connecting with SiriusXM lately?

I just spent some time going through this myself.  Since nothing I did on my Android app allowed me to get Siriusxm working,  I downloaded the app on my home computer.  It took a few moments to set up, but I was able to get Siriusxm loaded and working.  I opened up my Android app, and it worked there too.  Hope this helps you too.

I’m experiencing this issue after upgrading from an old Play:1 system. My new Sonos speakers refuse to play SiriusXM. I’ve added, deleted, re-added, re-authorized the SiriusXM service… no luck.

I was able to update my S1 thru the system update & I was able to remove the SiriusXM app, reinstall & authorize it. All seemed good, but I cannot play any channels. Just get error message unable to play.

I have the same problem, I could only play any music service if I did it tru tha Sonos app. I deleted the Sonos skill in the alexia app and close the app than reopened the enable the Sonos skill and it works.
Hope this helps someone

I think I found the solution to this problem. DO NOT try to uninstall and reinstall using an iPhone. Instead use your PC and download the Sonos app onto it. Delete SiriusXM from your Sonos system. Go to your favorites and delete all the SiriusXM favorites you have on Sonos in the favorites folder. Now using the pc app reinstall Sirius and activate the account. Boom. Your welcome. Worked for me and my dad on his systems. Looks like it worked for Fenster44 on this same thread too.
