Since the latest (May 2024) upgrade to the Sonos App my system has stopped working.System consists of:Sonos BoostSonos 1 x 1Sonos 3 x 2The app has so far spotted the Boost but then failed to add it, stating only:We couldn’t find any Sonos products on your mobile device’s network so we can’t set up you [Boost].I’ve had the same result trying to set up the two Play 3’s.Bizarrely, the Play 1 has been set up with no problem. But without the boost or the play 3’s I don’t have a network worth a light. All products have been factory reset and were each individually connected to the router via ethernet during attempts to set up. Mobile device was on the same Wi-Fi network (2.4Ghz) as the boost (am assuming still that Sonos does not support 5 or 6 ghz). Any ideas? ThanksFrank

So I have this issue, I believe since Sonos version 14.20.1, that I'm unable to 'browse' my Plex content via the Sonos iOS app and Sonos Controller for PC.I can search content and play via the Sonos iOS app and Sonos Controller for PC, but unable to browse the content. I also restored my Plex music server to a previous version so I'm really sure it's related to the latest version of Sonos 14.20.1Do you members also experiencing this issue?Sonos 14.20.1Plex 1.30.0.6486

Why have you removed the mute button ?Why have you removed ability to show the equaliser controls by swiping the volume bar ?Why after all these years do we not have lock screen controls on the iPhone ?

Let's face it, Sonos is going to continue to focus primarily on the streaming market, which it has clearly decided is its future. Most of the people who have been posting on all these threads about the horrors of the Black App masquerading as S2 appear to be the dinosaurs such as me who rely on their local Music Libraries as their content source. My own situation is that my Library is on a NAS, I have the latest firmware on my components, Android V16.1 on three controllers and V80.01.7 on the fourth and finally a Win 10 PC also running V16 .  Updates are blocked and I have the executables to restore V16 stashed away in case they get through. My system is stable and my controllers all run fine within their limitations, which are well known.  While I abhor the way V80 was launched in such a deprecated state, I can see some logic behind the new UI, which is clearly set in stone.  I am prepared to live with it as long as Sonos keep their promises about reinstating the functionalities they ha

I'll be honest I'm not brilliant when it comes to apps etc (especially this new one) it's driving me mad.Can I add and play Amazon music on Play 3 and Play 5? Also are they compatible with Alexa voice assistant, I already have it working on the Sonos beam.Been using this new app for a week or so and it's still frustrating the life out me.

My Sonos devices lost connection to my Wi-Fi network. Now I’m not able to put Sonos playing

The new Sonos app is completely unusable for me (blacked out buttons, buttons do wrong things). Some workarounds I’ve found include:Ask my wife to play music (Her iphone app is not updated) Chromecast Youtube music to Roku connected to playbase. Use the physical buttons on the Sonos device to control volume.Other ideas out there? I have hundreds of dollars in Sonos equipment to use if I can figure out how.

After spending much time in the community trying to get the New App to work as it should I realize now that my SONOS system has been redered a glorified radio set. Cannont access my music librairies anymore.  My 2 prefered streaming provider are not accessible anymore.  The new app is simply awful and practically unsuable. I have told the merchant who sold me my last component to stop selling SONOS’ products if he wants to keep his name. I discourage my friends to buy the products and or upgrade. There are plenty of Wireless apps and products (WI-Fi and Bluetooth) that can do the job. Bye Bye Sonos!

How much did you get paid by the streaming apps to disable our music folder?

My Controllers are Android, running V80.01.07 on one so I can see what’s happening with the Controller “Upgrade”and V16.1 on the other 3 so I can do what I really want with my music, which is NAS based. In the last day or two this popup has been appearing on launch of V80… Followed when clicked by this one Which appears to me to imply that it is the Speakers that will be updated, not the Controllers, and is rather threatening in its tone.  I have ignored it and established that the threat is a hollow one in that both Controller versions continue to work as before, one well and the other not so much…My question is:-If one clicks through and performs this update, will it update the Speakers, which is what I suspect it will and, if it does, what effect will that have on the Controllers?  Will it perhaps deprecate the performance of good old V16.1? (Bad!) Or will it perhaps improve the performance of V80.x? (Wishful thinking?) Anybody been there and care to share your experience?Cheers,John

I am agree all people about a very problematic APP v80The MUTE is now NOT available The COVER does not change realtime. yesterday i play multiple songs and cover is about the song played 10 minutes before… Every time open APP   “NO SYSTEM CONNECTED” go to SETTINGS Sometimes playing is stopped for seconds (never happened in many years before with the good app) My Tuner radio service does not permit to add as bookmark any songs or podcast If i want to play from bookmarks, the song must play immediately, here in V80 we have to play one more PLAY button… Playing for example 3 speakers same song, if i decide to play only 2,  using app the music stopped ! and play again later ! VOLUME control is a joke…. i go up and audio does no follow my choice , after the slide goes back itself !! same for reverse ! and so and so… any oother people has this behaviour ?CLASS ACTION to SONOS !!!!!!! and so and so….

I'm one of the guys that after the new app uodate, I get constantly portions of my system not showing or the entire things as being said to be not on the network. I have Sonos tech pointing at Google (that's my router) and Google techs pointing at Sonos. I'm 99% positive it is Sonos because this entire set up has worked fine for years until exactly after the app revamp. What I have happening is that when I look at the devices on my Google router, I see things like it showing 2 subs, 1 online and 1 offline....I only have one sub. Then even when I have all speakers showing up and working on the sonos app and physically working, the Google home app wil  contradict that and say half my speakers are offline. Non stop I am getting contradictions between the two. From not agreeing to home many speakers are online to it claiming multiple versions of a speaker. Does anyone know what this points to or which spectrum is more likely the cause?

Before the last update a few weeks ago, my Sonos App was working fine. Now its not only a glitchy non intuitive design, but after taking ages to get it to play the BBCSounds app again yesterday, it now tells me I have no system- despite the fact that the system is on and playing Radio 4 (through BBC Sounds). So I have no control of the speaker ( Sonos One) and I guess will uninstall and reinstall the Sonos app again. But this is getting monotonous- what is the problem since the update? I have just the one speaker so as simple as it can be!

I have been having connection problem with my system so waited for new app. Now when it says I need a software update, I’m asked to log out and owner to login. I press start update and I see a flash of the login page then screen returns to ask for sign in: system owner. How do I break this cycle? Despite deleting app and reloading it continues to loop. If I log in thru  web page I see my devices. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I changed my apple password. Works great on apple. But when I try adding Apple Music to sonos, I get a ‘problem has occurred’ message.

Sonos app update 80.01.10 for ios and 80.01.07 for Android is just released. Who’s going first? Let us know how it goes. [redacted] [redacted] A new Sonos controller Actually some people do want more of 1 or 2 but nobody wanted Sonos to “fix” the perfectly fine controller app. What a debacle but the pompous hubris of CEO Spence (uh I guess we should have communicated the roadmap) and CPO Bouvat-Merlin (took courage to launch a new UI) is insane. You guys don’t get it. After hustling us thru the S2 upgrade to now punk us all on this new controller so you can get the headphones shipped is a humiliating kick in the crotch to your loyal user base including this one of 20+ years. Too many FUBARS to list so I’ll just leave it at this - will no longer buy Sonos. 👋Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

To sonos management -  i cannot now play my music library through sonos (the only reason i have a sonos speaker system)   You wiped it from the sonos controller with an update and now i get error 913 when i try to restore.Unbelievable shoddy work.please come onto this community blog and advise me and everybody else in this position when you will correct this monumental cockup.Alternatively expect a massive exodus of Sonos users.

Please, Sonos, the mobile app should immediately play a Sonos favorite when I click on it! Why does it bring up another page on which I have to press play? If it’s a favorite, probably safe to assume I want it to play when I click on it.

Tengo un problema y es que no me aparecen mis playlist de Qobuz en Sonos. Alguien sabría cómo solucionarlo?Moderator edit:Google Translate-I have a problem and that is that my Qobuz playlists do not appear on Sonos. Would anyone know how to solve it?

Now, nada. How freaking rude. Really hard to imagine they would treat loyal customers this way. I’ll be looking to hack the holy frack out of these 9 Sonos speakers. Disrespect for disrespect.

I thought for one hot minute that the new app was great, as it allowed me to connect to and use my IKEA Symofisk Gen 1 speaker ( I have two - a Gen 1 and a Gen 2) that stopped working a while ago. After HOURS with tech support and no resolution, the best they could offer me was a 25% discount on a new product. No sale, thank you very much.So when I downloaded the new app on my phone and then got the old Gen 1 speaker working again, I thought this was great! Two weeks later, we’re back to the same crap. Speaker not detected, speaker won't connect to my wifi (which has not changed in months). Tired of this BS now.I will not be buying another SONOS product. when the Gen 2 stops working, I’ll replace it with something else. Get your act together SONOS.

HelloA lot of members are touting the potential “demise” of Sonos due to the misstep with the release of the S2 App Refresh. Still others are threatening to sell and/or mothball their Sonos gear and move on to a competitive product.I’ll not argue that those community members expressing their dissatisfaction with the App release are in error. To the contrary. Sonos has admitted that certain features are missing and will be addressed as quickly as possible. I’ve only had one issue with the refresh and that was with Trueplay which for me has been corrected and I’m able to use the feature once again. As far as the other legitimate missing features are concerned such as alarms and missing libraries I’ve used them very little or never as is the case with music libraries. However, alarms are working for me.The reason I’m posting (again) regarding the S2 Refresh missteps is to ask “does it really signal the demise of Sonos? Demise of Sonos can take many forms depending upon how one defines it.

SONOS went to great lengths (well, they stopped short of genuinely apologising to us for stuffing up an otherwise stable system) to say with the new app they were able and going to push out updates quickly to get us back to feature parity as soon as possible. We’ve seen nothing of the sort.  Alarms are still missing key features (like grouping rooms), the system is still slow and clunky, there are no Android widgets, the experience is still messy, etc. etc.A schedule would be nice so we at least have some sort of idea when things might be released.  My gut tells me there is more going on at SONOS than they are telling us.  I wonder if a chunk of their DEV team has left?  If things were running smoothly from an HR perspective 1) This wouldn’t have happened and 2) We would have had more app updates.Whilst I am on a spray, did everyone see the “new” Roam 2?  Identical to the previous version with the only difference being it can pair to Bluetooth out of the box.  LOL.

Posted previously but admins deleted.New app is worthless and made my system unusable. I rolled back to 16.1. If you do the same make sure you not only disable Auto updates on the app but also disable firmware updates on your system or an update will get pushed to block you from using the old version just like they did when S2 was launched
