Has any posting here EVER produced anything ?

I have been a Sonos user, and have spent a LOT of money on their products since 2005.

I have posted a few high priority, low difficulty suggestions over the years, and have watched *many, many* others do the same, and have not ever seen a SINGLE suggestion implemented.

Can anyone name a single user-submitted suggestion that has been implemented by Sonos ?

    You sure?
There's nothing in John's post mentioning Spotify.
It could have general applicability, ie. being able to mark a currently playing track for some action.

After re-reading, the OP is unclear. They state they want it to "star songs when using Sonos similar to how this works in Spotify where you can star songs" which led me to believe they wanted Sonos' Spotify to mimic the browser Spotify, but the rest of the post is unclear. I guess we'll find out soon.

Actually, if it's spotify based, it sounds like the thumbs up/down that's available with slacker.... so that seems possible, provided spotify exposes the right calls.....

    Hi,

Did not read the whole thread but just to let you know SONOS do take time to help people with problems.
Just pick up your phone and ask the guy on the phone to look into your system. I did and I found out there are some skillful people out there working with SONOS.
Oh yes, and its free of charge...

So stop whining and pick up your phones..!

I will second that, their phone service is fantastic, even when its my router problems they have gone out of their way to fix it. Without phone support i would be stuffed.

How on earth did you compile such a voluminous list like this? Do you work for Sonos or is the info scattered throughout the forum?

The original list was much smaller. I simply took the "Sound Ideas" forum and started at the beiginning. Every thread that was implemented was listed, usually by cutting and pasting the title. After that, release notes were compared with forum requests, and the release notes were cut and pasted.

Since then, the purpose for the list has been made redundant by the "Implemented" list at ask.sonos, so I've stopped adding to it:

    Link to Impemented Ideas.

    ok, great :-)

Here another one for the Sonos team:

Please stop offering EXISTING members ANOTHER bridge when we want to expand the range and give us a 49 USD discount on every ADDITIONAL unit we buy.

Or make an exchange program: 3 bridges = connect etc.

I can start building a bridge with all the bridges I have...just joking 🙂

I had no idea that this posting of mine from almost two years ago had become a sticky thread.

I feel the same way now as I did then.

    - Silly, childish on-screen animations still can't be disabled.

    - jump-to-letter shortcuts were broken with the new UI and have never been fixed

    - jump-to-mouse-pointer in the volume control was broken with the new UI and has never been fixed (although the behavior *did* change a bit from one broken behavior to a new, equally broken behavior).

    - and see my post in "general" about the lame favorites feature that sonos mailed in.

I'll be back in a year or so. These will not be fixed. Bank on it.

Just dump them on Ebay, and make an existing Sonos user happy.

Like everything else Sonos, "used" or surplus bridges sell at right about dealer cost on the open market.

    It's not a $50 discount, but it's a $35-ish discount. :)

(Or more perhaps than $35, with the holiday buying season ramping up....)
