I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great.

We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.

Hi @Atmosius, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I think this would be a good way to control your system though I personally don’t see this happening anytime soon: I’m happy to share with the relevant teams for their consideration, however.

If you’re looking for a way to control your system from your watch now, then you might be able to find a third-party app that does so. I can’t provide any recommendations myself, but Googling for third-party Sonos watch apps or looking through the Sonos Community should help with this.

Also, if the music service you use has a smartwatch app and supports direct control, you can control your system with that app. I had a look at Spotify, the music service I use, and it has a WearOS app with Spotify Connect support, having the controls that you’re looking for, such as play/pause/shuffle/etc. While not all services offer this, it would be worth looking into as well.

I hope this information helps, and if you have any further suggestions or recommendations, then feel free to share them here!
