Yes, it's been known about for a while, given that it's Playbar, Sub mini, Android, guess it's not high in their fix priority. Leave the early legacy users behind in the chase for new users who will buy the latest tech and only stream, not needing to play their own music.

@Ken_Griffiths, just checked my posts in this thread. I don't mention when I first found the issue, so my bad. However it was back in November last year that I realised the issue. I spoke to Sonos support in mid December and they told me it was a known issue at that time which indicates the issue was known before then.

Well not much happens over the holiday and new year period, I presume - and it’s certainly not as long as 8 months. I appreciate it needs fixing, but as a developer yourself, at least give Sonos an opportunity to sort it.

We all know Sonos developers have a lot on their plate at the moment. I also suspect in some use-cases the Sub can be utilised elsewhere too (temporarily) and grouped with the PlayBar room for local music audio, until the fix is done/tested/released.

There’s probably other priorities above this one, but we can only guess at these things and Sonos are unlikely to give a date for the fix until they know themselves that they’ve (hopefully) resolved the issue.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with legacy users/new products etc. - you only have to see how many users make up this thread, compared to some of other threads here in the community that are asking for a number of other issues to be fixed, like Sonos playlists, and local library playlists, and even access to libraries, to see that this reported issue is perhaps not at the top of the priority list - but no doubt it will be on the ‘to-do’ list and no doubt it will get sorted.

It’s starting to look as though this issue might have been resolved at last (for me at least). I saw there was an update labelled 20 Feb which is now on my Android and I can play songs from the music library on my NAS.

Is it working for anyone else with this issue?

Nope, In any case Corry P said he would post on here if and when he heard of a fix.

So still a prob on Android, with sub mini paired with playbar.

OK, still working for me (just checked).

For anyone who’s interested, the working Build number of the Android app on my phone is:
80.17.09-release+20250220.d797378
