The "sound height" adjustment does not work on Tidal, unlike on Apple Music.

Hi @Mactrax et al

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

My documentation has it that Tidal will not stream Dolby Atmos music directly to Sonos devices, and that the only way to get Tidal spatial music playing from Sonos devices is to play it to a third-party device connected to the same TV as a Sonos Home Theatre solution.

I shall see what I can do about getting the page that @Mr. T linked to corrected - thanks for flagging, @Airgetlam.

I hope this helps.

Have you checked with Tidal? They’re providing data to Sonos via their servers. All Sonos does is play the music from where they’ve been told to, and apply the settings the SMPI suggests. The actual implementation of all of this is by the Tidal engineers, since Sonos doesn’t have access to write data on Tidal’s servers.

The Height Audio setting affects only Dolby Atmos playback.
But Sonos doesn’t support Dolby Atmos from Tidal, so this setting does nothing.
Dolby Atmos works only with Apple Music and Amazon Music, so the height adjustment makes sense with them.

The support page implies otherwise.

Here’s another support page. Which one is true?

Tidal web site also doesn’t include Sonos in the list of devices which support their Dolby Atmos:

Where’s Sonos here?

Thanks for the warning.  I won’t be signing on to Tidal.
