New App - Music Library


Anyone having issues with the Music Library function on the new App. I now cannot shuffle all songs from this function. It shows no queue and will only allow me to play one song at a time. I am using App on an Iphone.

The shuffle and search function have not yet been implemented on the new app.

The new app is full of bugs:

  1. Radio stations selected as favorite don’t play anymore which the exception of a couple.
  2. the alarm function does not work anymore resulting in not being able to change the time of the alarm.
  3. very slow app when switching from one menu to another.

Sonos should never have released this version which is full of bugs.

The lack of all these issues are to be expected apparently. They hyped the app, promised a better experience and this is what we get. Will be months for them to fix it.

I agree it seems like a half hearted attempt, bit of a shambles !!

Yeah… I have tried to report this.  I am not sure anyone is listening. New App will not browse to my library folders and play or que up the contents of a folder. Since the new app, it will only que ONE SONG at a time?! This has ruined how our household uses your product entirely, as everyone in our household uses our servers for music streaming to various locations in the home. This feature is why we have continued to grow our Sonos product line, but now - we have a house of speakers that can play one song at a time?  Can we fix or roll-back this now vs waiting and hoping ? 


The same thing happens on Android. I can play ONE song from my music library and then it stops. No way to shuffle all songs in the library. Sonos has made my speaker useless.

Yes, me too on Android. As per the post above, by taking away shuffle (I use Yahoo music) this update doesn't let me use my 3 speakers the way I usually use them. Also, I didn't feel like finding stuff I'd any easier with this release - it's still a mess. Don't bother with a big release until you have your sh*t together!
