After following the workaround I found on the forum to add my local music library back after the app bafflingly seemed to simply delete it, I am able to access my library on the desktop app, but it simply doesn’t show up anywhere on the mobile apps.

We really need Sonos to step up here. The forum is full of people having the same issues. CLEARLY there is a problem here that needs to be addressed. Either that or the company needs to come out and state categorically “we only support online music services now, so if you put a lot of money into our hardware then we’re afraid you’re out of luck and made a poor choice.”

Seriously. This silence is not doing your company any good.

Correct, local music folders via mobile apps are not available but are available via the desktop app (Windows/Mac). I did read that someone using Android got it working on their phone but I don’t see how. I use iOS and the feature has been removed from the new mobile app completely. As I’ve stated repeatedly on this forum, why Sonos chose to remove a core feature (NAS/computer streaming) is baffling. I will not buy another Sonos hardware piece again because of this debacle. Too risky.

And today the library just magically appeared on my iPhone.

If these are just bugs that the development team is working on and will have fixed as soon as they can, a word from the company indicating that we aren’t being abandoned would do wonders.

And today it’s gone again.

But there is something new. There’s an unwanted advertisement for Sonos headphones.

So Sonos has successfully made access to the one key function of the app completely unreliable, but they have managed to make sales pitches a part of it.

This is just appalling.
