This might sound like a very “nooby” question and I apologise if that is so but with all the installations, updates, and “fixes” around Music Library lately I am just a little confused. My question is - If I have multiple controllers (iPhone, iPad, PC) for my SONOS system, and I add a Music Library to one of them, should it be visible and available on the others.
I have a SONOS app on my Win10 pc and have added the library and apart from every track on a compilation album being reported as an album in it’s own right (when is that being fixed by the way?), it works well. I can select and play music from the linrary on any of my speakers. Howver, the library does not appear on my iPhone! I tried adding it, and although it found the library and it appeared on my homepage for a short time, it has subsequently disappearedfrom the home page althogh it still shows under the “Your Folders” section of Music Library.
Any help with this most friustrating aspect would be greatly appreciated. Before “the Update” it used to work so well and it really is annoying that one of the most useful and enjoyable features of my SONOS has now become such a difficult fight all the time.
Adding a Music Library will make it visible from ALL devices that connect to your System.
On the iPhone the Library appears, by default at the bottom of your music sources. Go to the bottom and us the “Edit Home” button am move it to the top.
If it is still not there, check if there are any Updates pending and if so try adding it again from the iPhone rather than the Windows app. It can take a while to propagate across all devices.
Also try a re-index.
I agree with

. . . . . . . .
Also try a re-index.
The library is still visible and active on the Win10 app, but not on the iPad or iPhone. The option is also missing from even the bottom of the Home Screen. And that is after a re-index.
EDIT
Update from SONOS: -
“Thank you for reporting this to us. We are investigating the issue and do not currently have an ETA on when this will be fixed. I will log the case #********according to this issue so our team can look into this and come with a fix as soon as possible. You can also save a chat transcript after our session ends with this information. ”
Moderator edit: removed case number
Hopefully this isn’t relevant but needs putting out there.
It’s true that the share should be available on ALL your controllers. HOWEVER. You didn’t clarify where the music is stored. If it is stored on your PC and the PC is switched off then it will NOT be available to your other controllers. Same if the hard drive has gone into hibernation mode.

Thanks Stuart - your hopes are well placed - it isn’t relevant. The library is stored on a QNAP NAS drive. This issue isnt that Sonas cannot see, or connect with the library, rather ir simply will not allow me to “see” it on my Home screen (or anywhere else) in order to play music from it
