Hi as per title - Is anyone having problem with Apple Music Recently Added? I'm getting Something went wrong. Try again.

I normally use this ‘feature’ a lot I add new music in Apple Music app and then switch to Sonos to play it. I’ve been away a few days and just got back and I’m now getting this error. Everything else is OK. I tried removing and re adding service but same error. I’ve log the problem with Sonos support. Thanks

There was a system update and also an iOS app update but the problem remains…

If you read the post above by @Sotiris C. you’ll see it’s not a total Sonos issue.

Not working for me on Windows 11, Mac Os and iOs for about a week now...

Same problem, started a couple of days ago. Nothing had changed. I updated the Sonos app since and still not loading the recently added library.

To Would Be Posters and Those Who Have Voiced Their Displeasure in This Thread

Adding your voice to a legitimate issue that is due to a Sonos misstep is cheered by me as well. However, to keep digging a hole with complaints and/or just stating that you have the same issue which is out of Sonos direct control is pointless.

The Answer to this issue has been given by @Sotiris C. and clearly stated as to what has to occur to affect a resolution. Everything else about Apple Music works. Yes, I am minimizing the complaints about this issue as its but a small part of the entire Apple Music integration that does not prevent you from enjoying it via Sonos.

So, let’s just wait few weeks to see what develops regarding this minor issue. Let’s face it...this glitch is nowhere near (by any stretch of the imagination) comparable to May 2024.

Even if the May 2024 release had 100 issues, this issue remains a valid concern. People should be free to voice their opinions, and moderation is best left to the moderators

the only app that manages to show recently added album from apple music right now for whatever reason is clic - on my beta version anyways. sonos, soro and sonify all fail to do so.

Seems to be working now!

not with my system…

This error is coming directly from Apple’s SMAPI server:

Apple needs to fix this, so if it bugs you, go yell at them.

Yep, stopped again for me too

Perhaps Sonos should bug them. We are end-users who pay money. We’re not responsible for fixing the problems of the products we buy, manufacturers are. If you buy a new car and it has design flaws, are you going to fix them on the car maker’s behalf? What a crazy world that would be… but since you already did the legwork for Sonos, I think it’s reasonable that they pick up your work and get it across the finish line working with Apple so we don’t have to all sit here and write these silly posts.

For what it’s worth… the “Recently Added” feature is working again for me on Windows 11 but not on Mac Os and iOs, so it looks like the squeaky wheel does get a bit of the grease. Squeak away, all!

I spoke too soon… stopped working minutes later...

Not working ☹️

Also having this issue as well as certain Apple Music radio stations not wanting to play (‘Chill Music Radio’ doesn’t work). The solution to AirPlay is no good, as not all Sonos S2 products support AirPlay.

Also seeing same. Apple Music 1 playing OK. Chill & Club stations appear to start playing, but then errors ‘not encoded correctly’.

You can AirPlay if you have at least one AirPlay compatible speaker, then group the non-AirPlay compatible in Sonos App.

Same problem here. Just updated to newest version of Sonos app, was hoping it would be fixed but getting the same “something went wrong, try again” message. Might seem minor to some, but I used this very frequently.

Have you contacted Apple, since they are responsible for their ‘plug in’ in the Sonos app?

That’s above my pay grade. Sonos should be doing that legwork, since it’s the Sonos app functionality at the end of the day.

Recently added seems to be working again this evening.

Yep, RA is is working again. Apple Music Live Radio ‘Chill’ was working briefly earlier, but fails again now. I’m assuming fix is currently being deployed by Apple, and we will get confirmation from Sonos soon.

Hi, well what would you know, as I predicted / hoped. I’ve just returned from holiday today (Milan and Como) and as has been posted and discovered myself, this issue has now been fixed :) I need to go away more often ;) Thanks Sonos / Apple it’s great to have this working again.

Working for me too now! Great news.

No, because I bought a Sonos product and Sonos are responsible for the service and features they offer to me.

Works for me too! Thanks Sonos!
