Having problems with Android when playing Sonos playlist on S2 app. The playlist goes back to the beginning of the particular playlist rather than the track being played. This does not happen on Apple IOS devices but on Android.Does anyone have a fix for this this?
Do you happen to remember Amiga computers? I grew up with one and that way got introduced into the world of multimedia, even before that word existed. There actually still is a small but vital community around that system und there are even modern variants of the original AmigaOS 3, called AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS, both running on PPC hardware.Out of passion for AmigaOS and its successors, I wrote a Sonos Controller for these OSes. It even works with AmigaOS 3.x running on 68k processors, but a fast one is highly recommended (040, 060 or with a vampire accelerator). The feature set is not 100% complete (yet), but the most vital functions are all there.Best of all: it’s totally free. Donations are welcome but absolutely voluntary.Download links can be found here: https://mrupp.ch/Enjoy!Michael
Another feature request. Rather than just basic bass/treble/ambient/full adjustments for speakers, any chance of pre-configured (or configurable) DSP settings for music Sonos, you know, those “old skool” DSP settings like Concert Hall, Jazz Club, Dance, Dolby Theatre, etc to select from? For some added context and having been through MANY different varieties of music, surround sound and home theatre systems over the years. Sometimes, nothing beats good old fashioned 2.0 stereo but without the technology of today, those old systems had to use psychoacoustic trickery to make the sound more interesting/engaging, some with greater success than others Using my TruPlay’d Arc, 2 x One and Sub setup as basis, for movies and TV’s, it sounds as great as would be expected. For music as well, it’s definitely no slouch and certainly has presence and fills rooms but it’s all based on TruPlay and the room acoustics and manual adjustments of levels. The only thing I found is that it’s still somewhat di
I have 2 music sources I want to remove, but there is not option to remove. One source is from my NAS, and another from a PC. Both disply on the windows desktop app as well as the mobile app, but neither show up on ´manage library settings´ on desktop, or ´services and voice´on andriod app.How can they be deleted?
Hi,I am still using S1 software and a sonos bridge as I have first gen play 5 speakers. Do I have a chance to be able to integrate my hue Philips system for lights entertainement while playing music on sonos? Or is the S2 compulsary?Do I just need a Philips smart hub for that?Kr Francois
Have had this problem on and off for years now. It’s gotten REALLY bad lately. Have contacted support directly and they weren’t much help. I cannot connect to SiriusXM for days now. I also can randomly connect (yes, I said connect as it mostly won’t connect) to play YouTube Music as well. I’ve shut everything down (multiple times). Everything is upgraded. Only way I can get YT Music to play is by trying to start with a different speaker to add to a group. Most won’t play at all and I find one which will (sometimes). I am convinced it has to do with your horrible WiFi implementation. Why? Because all of my speakers except for one is connected via wire. I had WiFi disconnected but it obviously tries to do something and eventually fails. When I called support they made me re-enable WiFi (even though I’m not using it). No, it didn’t help.
I've recently upgraded my computer and it now has a new name, but the same data drive which holds my music files. I'm using Sonos V1. When I try to play it gives an error that it can't find the music drive on my old computer. I've tried to change the folder in Sonos, searched the registry for any instances of the old computer name, searched the drives for any file containing the old computer name. All without success. Any ideas?
Sonos Controller for Mac: version 15.4, Sonos OS: S2When I attempt to add a service, the app applies a hard-coded email address to sign into sonos.com. It is the wrong address and not the one in my account settings, but I see no way to change it.
I have several Sonos speakers connected to my home wifi network. For many years, I’ve been able to control the speakers both with the Android app and the Windows desktop app. However, after I reinstalled Windows 10 today, the Sonos desktop app can’t find my Sonos system, unless I set my wifi network as a public network in Windows. The Android controller is still working fine.I have checked my Windows firewall settings and reinstalled the Sonos desktop app several times. I have followed all the steps in Sonos’ configuration guide, where step 4 emphasizes that the network profile must be set to private. But the only way I can get the desktop controller to connect, is to do the opposite, and set it to public. For obvious reasons, I don’t want to define my home wifi as a public network. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Ijust added a NAS to my network and connected my Sonos system to that NAS and have scheduled index updates each evening at 2am. I rip CDs to the NAS and every so many days I update the meta data/tags to clean up the initial data that was used. The biggest issue I’m having is when tag data changes and creates a new album in the library but the previous versions of that album also remain. Here is an example.I have a single album that is a 2 CD set When I rip the CDs - it creates two albums in my library named ‘Album Name - disc 1’ and ‘Album Name - disc 2’ When my Sonos library is indexed, it creates the 2 separate albums I go into my library software and update the meta data where both cds have the same album name and I indicate disc 1 and disc 2 The next time Sonos library is indexed - it creates the new album with the corrected album name and all tracks in the correct order grouped by cd1 and cd2 as expected However, the original 2 albums that it initially created also remain in m
Hi,I’ve got a Sonos One that I purchased 3-4 years ago (roughly). So I’ve owned it since new and never had issues updating when new updates were available. Running Windows 10 with the current Sonos software update. I have omitted the IP address, but it is there and correct. The progress bar for the for the software update completes… then displays the following message: The Sonos controller installer failed to download. I have turned off Windows Firewall and my anti-virus… still no resolve. As a side note, my Sonon One is working, but a little quirky at the moment. I primarily use it for listening to music. Sometimes it will play requested iHeartRadio stations, and sometimes it will just stay silent after a request. Same with Pandora stations. Any help would be appreciated. I’d like to add some .flac files I have saved in the files folder on my iPad Pro (ios15.7) to my Sonos 1 (OS: S2, version:15.4)How do I do this?I can get to the shared music library pop up, but don’t know what to enter in the path box. Thanks in advance for your help.
I have a lot of Sonos gear and recently I upgraded my entire home to S2 capable hardware. Now I’ve noticed on several occasions, I go to the S2 controller app to do something innocuous like lower the volume but I have to click through an Advertisement to get there. Are you kidding me? What kind of system forces you to experience Ads on its remote controller??My question….is there anyway to disable this disgusting display of selfish greed?
Sonos system is working and linked to my Apple Music account. When I search for My Music, Sonos can find my playlists and compilations, but it cannot find my artists or albums! I have reinstalled both apps several times and it’s made no difference. I can stream music, but I want to see the list of albums I’ve saved. Any tips please? Thank you!!
I use the Sonos app to stream Spotify to my One SL and when I search for artists and select the “Top Tracks” it always includes Willie Nelson’s “Roll me up and smoke me when I die”. I don’t have this issue on Spotify app itself. I have this issue with every artist I’ve searched for. How do I delete this song from the Top Tracks playlist?
Following the remove of the feature allowing to read music directly from my android phone, i’m looking for a solution to read my music on my Beam gen2. I tried to connect to my Freebox Delta NAS. SMB2/3 is activated on my freebox in the “windows sharing” options. I verified, and my Beam is running Sonos OS S2.There are no user/password required, and i’m using \\Freebox_Server to access it.It’s working fine from my computer. But the Sonos app displays the following error when I try to add a new shared library : “The computer Freebox_Server has not been found”. (translated from french, sorry). What am I missing ?i.e : someone had apparently the same problem here, unanswered
