Hey,

I have finished the trueplay setup using borrowed IPhone for my Beam Gen2 +Sub Mini+2 Era 100s.  Now I want to disable the trueplay for sometime and enable it later.. I remember it was possible with previous versions of sonos app, is there anyway I can get it done with current version of sonos app on andriod phones.

Appreciate any hints!!

Not using android, but under the Beam’s room settings, you should still be able to toggle Trueplay Off/On there.

Thanks but that option no more available for andriod app.

Are you sure Trueplay is still enabled on your setup?

Any change in configuration since you ran Trueplay previously would have removed any stored Trueplay profile.

Few days back only I did trueplay tuning after reseting the system for some reason.. the option was available with that iphone that time. May be better I verify once again with any IOS !!

You could also force close and reopen app to see if Trueplay toggle then becomes available to you.

That option gone for andriod, this thread clarifies.

That was from 6mths ago. I would have expected that to be resolved by now.

Maybe current android users will be able to confirm.

Hi @anishgopalan

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Thank you - I've marked this thread as a feature request and it will be seen by the relevant teams for consideration. Keep the ideas coming!

Feature request?!

Unless this feature has been removed from the android app, it was always possible to toggle Trueplay on/off.

What if a user runs Quick Tuning on Android, are you saying there’s no option to toggle Trueplay on/off by design?

Hi @Mr. T

There is no option to enable or disable TruePlay Tuning, as performed by an iOS device, in the Android version of the app. There was in the last app, but not in the current version, so, it is a feature request.

Quick Tuning can be enabled or disabled in the Android versions of the app as the feature does not require an iOS device in the first place.

I hope this helps.

My experience as an android user is Yes, you can run Quick Trueplay, but No, you are left without an option to then toggle on or off the Quick Trueplay result. So if you don't like the Quick Trueplay result you ran, your only option is to factory reset. As an owner invested in an Arc Ultra, 2 Sub 4s, and 2 Fives, I find this to be an inexcusable oversight on Sonos. Sonos has an obligation to do better and fix this. Peace.

So you are saying @Corry P was not right in saying “Quick Tuning can be enabled or disabled in the Android versions of the app”?

Correct, at least that has been my experience running Quick Trueplay on Android. I have discussed this twice with Sonos technical support and was told both times there is no toggle on-off for Quick Trueplay using only Android. If someone has a different experience I’d appreciate any information on how they did it. I have deleted and reloaded the app and factory reset the system with the same result.

Hi @DrewMTX

To be clear, Quick TruePlay and Auto TruePlay can be initiated and disabled from the Android app. “Normal” Trueplay Tuning cannot be performed or disabled in the Android app.

To disable Quick TruePlay Tuning that has already been performed, open the Sonos app and go to Settings Icon »  room name] » TruePlay » TruePlay Tuning » Off.

Incidentally, I found your support case where you were given incorrect information, and I have left feedback for the agent you spoke to.

I hope this helps.

I have run Quick Trueplay on a Lonovo Android tablet running Android 15 a dozen times where it completes and says done. But I do not have a toggle on off option afterward. Should I try doing something else?

Hi @DrewMTX

Well, that is most strange.

You should be seeing a page like this after tapping on TruePlay, after already having Tuned the speaker(s) in question:

(Settings Icon » nroom name] » TruePlay)

Could you please share a screenshot of what you do see? Thanks.

Thank you for your reply Corry P. I did a factory reset of the arc ultra and both sub 4s (not the Fives). And guess what . . . . I ran Quick Trueplay thinking I’d then send you a screen shot, and for the first time I have a toggle on off option that looks the same as on your screen shot. Yay! AND now for the first time I can hear a difference between the toggled settings. Awesome, thank you. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I have run Trueplay at least a dozen times prior to the factory reset where it said “done” but it didn’t give me the toggled option. Factory reset of the Ultra and Subs is the only new change, but now it works. Thank you again for your patience.

Hi @DrewMTX

Glad to hear that you found a way to fix the issue. Thanks for updating the thread!

You are most welcome!
