Can't play specific TuneIn station

Multidecade sonos owner.  I've seen tunein stations come and go.  I've had issues playing certain stations on S1 because it didn't support the stations bitrate (radio dismuke) but was fine on S2.

I've a problem with a specific tunein station called “radio synthpop”.  It queues, it plays TuneIn ads, it shows the song playing, the song playing updates when the next song starts -- but not one hint of audio.  I can play it through a browser no problem.

Can someone do me a favor and see if you can reproduce this by loading this station?

I can't post the image of it (sigh) but it's purple, green, and white.  SynthPOP RADIO “Tu Defecto... Perfecto".

Hi @spoonos

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear about this issue you are having with playing “Radio Synthpop” on your Sonos system via the TuneIn service.

I have tried searching for that station on TuneIn and I cannot find it - are you using a favourite to link to it, perhaps? If so, the link is broken and outdated, I think.

The good news is that I found a station named “Radio Synthpop” on myTuner - hopefully, it’s the same station you are looking for. You can add myTuner to Sonos without the need for an account - just go to Services on the Home Screen and tap the + icon at the left of the list, then type “myTuner” into the Search box on the next page and add the service. You can then perform a search for “Radio Synthpop” and mark the myTuner result as a new favourite (I recommend removing the old favourite first, though).

I hope this helps.

Same problem with “my tuner".  Station loads, sonos displays song titles, no audio.  Do you get audio?

Apologies, @spoonos! I confess I did not try to play it until now, and I cannot - I get no audio and an error at the bottom of the screen.

It would seem therefore, that the issue lies with the station itself. It’s possible they don’t even know - I recommend a visit to their website. I don’t read Spanish, so I can’t say whether they are aware already or not, but you may want to let them know if there’s no sign of them knowing already. This is all assuming I have the right website, but it does look like it’s likely the right one.

I hope this helps.
