Hi @MCAL0812, welcome to the Sonos Community!
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues signing in as the system owner.
I had a look into our system and can see that you contacted our support team who resolved this for you. From my understanding, it looks your system was registered with a different email address than the one you supplied us, which is why you were still getting the “Sign in as the System Owner” message. The Sonos app allows any Sonos account to ‘sign in’ to a system, however this will act as a sort of guest mode and have limited functionality.
If you’re still seeing the “Sign in as the System Owner” message, then please let me know, but I’m happy to see that this was resolved with out support team.
Thanks Jamie - my issue was resolved, great customer service
How was this resolved? Same issue here. Please and thank you!
Hi @Frank P
In your case, you do have a system registered to the email with which you are signed in here on the Community. Therefore, please ensure that you are signing in to the Sonos app with the exact same account with which you are signed in here. You may be using a very similar, but different address - it may even be a typo - so please check carefully.
I hope this helps.
We are signing in with the same exact account, but same message persists unfortunately.
Hi @Frank P
Sorry to hear that.
Just to be clear, are you successfully able to sign in as the system owner, but are asked to do so daily? Or, is it more that you can sign in with the account to which the system is registered, and it says that you need to sign in as the system owner in order to be able to configure the system, but it does keep you logged in?
It keeps saying that I need to sign in as the system owner and it fails. System is already configured but if you want to make changes it won’t login.
Hi @Frank P
In that case, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team for further assistance.
Though, you may want to try logging out (User icon » Sign Out), then Transfer System Ownership (Settings Icon » General Settings » Transfer System Ownership) to your email first.
I hope this helps.
