Would Using ROON for Streaming Apple Lossess to Sonos allow for the mitigation of the lack of HiRes being processed on the Sonos systems?

Awesome, if true. Then I wont have to use Qobuz AND Apple Music Lossless. I’ll check it out.

I think @jgatie ’s answer might need to be read as irony.

I would be surprised if Roon would surpass the technical limits of the Sonos devices.

Why bother with Roon and not just stream Apple Music direct from the iPhone app via AirPlay?

Because OP wants to maximize the bits in order to achieve theoretically better sound quality.
