@SayarRyan @MrMouse

Corey has already said a couple of post above mine the widget is on the internal Sonos tracker so didn’t need a feature request raising, but there was/is(?) no eta for it.

I sure hope they come back…

I use it all the time when my family wants to have a chat (quick turn it down)

And my Sony TV does not use IR for the remote so I have to use my phone to control the volume on the Ray - quite the nuisance.

I miss it, please elevate that on the work sheet of things to do.

Ideal reason for Sonos widgets…

Sonos Ray (volume control uses IR) however my Sony TV is a RF remote… As a result I can’t use my Sony TV remote to control the volume. opening the Sonos app ever time I want to adjust the volume is a pain. Widget would be ideal in this situation.

For users who stay in the same Room this might be convenient, however, for users who move between rooms, it’s likely that the widget will be controlling the wrong Room. While difficult to implement reliably, it might be possible for the widget to track the current location and control that room.

An approach that could work now for many users would use to use ALEXA. While not perfect, Alexa tends to target the nearest ALEXA capable device. A simple “ALEXA Mute” could be effective. In very small homes, open spaces, or installations where AMP’s are located centrally, “ALEXA Mute Bedroom” might be more effective.
