We use Sonos to broadcast music throughout our 184 year old restaurant. The speakers were a great purchase with wonderful rich sound quality and wireless flexibility. We use a SONOS port to channel our grand piano through a microphone into the system. But to do so we have to make manual adjustments to all 10 speakers and the port to toggle between recorded music and the live piano it literally takes about 3-4 minutes and if not done properly can blast our guests out of the room as the speaker volumes must all be adjusted. Is there anyway to “save” a group of settings or a “scene”? So that we can just make the change with a simple “click”.

If you use iOS, check out SonoPhone/SonoPad which offer a way of automatic Sonos things via deeplinking in the app. I have not used it myself, but it might be worth it to check out http://sonophone.de/home-automation-integration/
