This is a real nightmare. I hope Sonos will fix all that asap because what they did releasing this not finished app is scandalous.

Anyone else struggling with the new app? I have spent a very long time making playlists on Sonos - I’m not happy that the only playlists I can see is mine on my music streaming services from Amazon! I’m having trouble obtaining the old app as I’m really hating this new one!

This app does not appear on my home screen when app is closed. I cannot control volume unless the device is on and app open. Also ther is no shuffle on any playlist. I think this app is worse then the old one.
This new app is useless. I cannot edit the playlist or do things the other app would let you do. I was thinking of ditching Sonos. This app update has confirmed it. I am finished with Sonos
Why not just make the old version of Sonos 2 for iPhone available until the May 2024 disaster is fixed. New update doesn't work on iPhone at all
The new app is an embarrassment to your reputation, this is not what SONOS represents.
This is a big step backwards and I am greatly disappointed.
Please can you just roll back to the previous version until you sort out this embarrassment.
What have you done Sonos?? If you can’t even get the volume controls working correctly you might as well give up. Fix this mess before your company is down the gurgler.

not ok, I have to close and reopen several times until it works!! Not very well tested your new app..

Like apparently everyone, I got the iOS app update via auto-update and am immediately angry. It does not work for the core use cases. I can’t see a single way it’s better for me, and at least 3 separate ways it’s far worse.
I read https://www.theverge.com/2024/5/9/24152675/sonos-new-app-bad-reviews-response-statement linked from here and it makes me really skeptical about the future. Sure, software development is hard, maybe you need to make changes, but you can test those changes and wait until they work well until rolling them out. Foisting this on us with no choice, and then claiming this is for our own good, is super arrogant, tone deaf and dismaying.
I’ve spent thousands on my Sonos system, as have so many of your users. Completely breaking the core functionality we paid for and have come to love and depend on is unacceptable.
3 of my devices were kicked off the Sonos App. 2 Arcs and 1 Sonos One. Once I downloaded/upgraded to the new app, I was only able to reconnect the 2 Arcs. However I cannot select music only for the Arcs or control the volume. Why does the new Sonos App force me to sync my arc with my outdoor speakers or speakers that are hardwired in order to play music? Why can I not just use my arc separately from the speakers that are connected to Amps?

The new system software just downloaded overnight, and the performance is not as good as before.
The system is very slow, very slow, from selecting music and to when the music plays, the previous system was instant.
The system to manage speakers has been simplified to the point i cannot do anything with speakers. The previous system was simple and straightforward to manage speakers!
I have an issue that one of my speakers is playing music and I cannot find the speaker control nor the music control anywhere, it is running parallel to other 5 speakers that are playing different music and I can see and control music for these 5.
I am not sure if the engineers tested the system with users, but I fail to see the upgrade part of new system.
Is it possible to go back to old system?

Trying to make the best out of a bad situation. The new IOS app home page lists Recently played, Your Services and Sonos Favorites. No listing for Sources or Inputs so no music library. I can play music from my Windows controller, but it doesn’t show in recently played.
Can I delete the app from my phone and re-download? What’s the best way to go about doing that?

How do you stop the music, the new app only shows the amp connected to the TV and not the other speakers? I tried to stop the music on the app but it’s still playing 🫣
The original Sonos system I had was great. I only switched to S2 because I was forced to for new products. S2 came with more problems but I manage to live with it
Now I was auto-upgraded to a new app, and my system doesn’t work. Speakers come and go, the shol thing stops, etc. Alarms are gone. I do have a 2nd wifi network that might improve things, but the new app doesn’t support adding a network. Old instructions cover it on the old app

My android phone automatically updated to the new Black Sonos App. It BARELY works. Takes 2 minutes to open, my phone asks if I want to close the app, but then it eventually comes up, but I can’t add music to speakers, and it’s overall a horrible mess. Really bad decision by Sonos.
Will Sonos techs blame the bigger than normal solar storm for the loss of service on the new update I wonder?
To sum up Sonos....great speakers, shite software. Unfortunately like many others, I have invested in a home speaker system but it's so frustrating to actually use it given the poor software.
Really wondering what is going on with the quality control and testing of this new app update. Why can I no longer see the trueplay feature on my Android device. Why can I see it on my Iphone and yet it will not work despite deleting app, reinstalling, logging out, ensuring mics are on my devices etc.
I am sure like myself many people have spent thousands on their Sonos products and to experience this kind of half baked roll out is frustratingly annoying. Sonos You need to do Better. You are not the only game in town.

With the latest app update 80.00.04, group volume (which I use more than individual volume since Sonos is my whole-home audio system and I generally listen throughout my home) is more or less botched. It does not work in real time, and the UI is utterly gross. I start moving the slider and ANOTHER panel pops up over the slider I am using showing all of the individual volumes while I am still controlling the slider behind the pop-up UI. Did anyone test this new app with a system with more than one product grouped together? It's not like volume control would be an uncommon QA process.
Please fix the group volume. And while you are at it, why does the bottom bar not have skip and back buttons like it did in the old app?! Now it's two-taps to skip a track (and a 3rd if I want to get back to where I was) when it was one before. Again, a frequent action like skipping tracks should be one tap, not a multi-step process.

It seems that since the new S2-app version came out last week it is nog possible to connect a Storytel account. I tried multiple times, but the service won’t connect. And also the timer option does not work anymore, which we used to control the sonos speakers in de kids rooms.

My music library disappeared with the new app on Android. I was able to see it on Windows and play stuff but I cannot see it or figure out how to add it on Android
This new app is a damn joke.. Nothing works even basic systems,, I used to be a reseller for Sonos and unless things are sorted quickly Ill be ditching the system.. I work me arse off all week and then want to chilltet at the weekend and even that has been destroyed, it,s like Joe Biden did the update a complete bloody joke!!
