+1Yes, I realize that this has been asked before, but with macOS losing Rosetta 2 with macOS 28, coming out in 2027, is there any chance of the desktop Sonos app being ported to Apple silicon?
I primarily use the macOS app, and am not really looking forward to relying on the web app, since I live in an area with poor internet availability.
Since they haven’t done any work (other than egregious bug fixing) on either the Windows or Mac ‘desktop’ apps for years, in favor of their web app, it does seem unlikely that there would be resources dedicated to a port.

That would be interesting. There are already lots of third party options, I think, although I’ve never really looked at them. Certainly for iOS, where I do the majority of my effort. The Mac app is basically used, in my situation, to start and stop playlists. I suspect the web app will do that.
+24Zero chance of them doing this, in fact I am guessing they are secretly enjoying the Apple announcement as it fits in with their plan to retire the Desktop apps.
Which is why you should look on the App Store for a Sonos app that is a real, native app, for ARM and Intel. Like mine (see profile).
