Limit of 100 songs in Amazon playlist

Forum|alt.badge.img

Has anyone had any luck with the 100 song limitation on your Amazon Playlist? Under the previous App I had around 400 songs.  Had to split up into 4 playlists.  What a pain in the A$$.

Did you find what you were looking for?

Hi @GuardDog32

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble loading Amazon Music playlists.

There is a limit on the size of what can be added to the queue from Amazon Music, but you should be able to add 500 items, rather than just 100.

I don’t use Amazon myself, but my colleague just tested this on their own Sonos system and could load a playlist 111 items long.

As we are unable to reproduce the behaviour you’ve reported, I recommend the following:

  1. First, please try removing Amazon from your Sonos system, then adding it again. Remove a music service account from SonosAdd a music service to Sonos
  2. If that has not helped, please try rebooting the device running the Sonos app.
  3. And if that does not help, please try rebooting your speakers.

If you are still unable to load more than 100 items to a speaker’s queue, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.  To clarify, just try removing Amazon Music only (not the Alexa ), correct?
Also, I failed to say that my Amazon playlist does show 400+ songs in the list, however, it’ll only play the first 100 songs.  So if I atte To play song 101,

it’ll start back from song 1 on the list and play.  So it does show them there, just won’t play. So your buddy who has 111, if he tries to play the last song on the list (song 111), will it play?

Hi @GuardDog32

Yes, just Amazon Music, please. There’s no need to remove Alexa.

Ah - thank you for elaborating on that.

All my colleagues have gone home now (I do a longer shift), but I will ask him to test playback of the playlist tomorrow.

Hi @GuardDog32

My colleague has tried every way he can think of to test playback of the last 11 items on his playlist, including skipping through them all, and even playing all the way through from the start. He cannot replicate the issue you are having.

Could you please see if you can recreate our results with a smaller, approximately 110 - 150 items playlist?  If you can play such a playlist all the way through, but still cannot play past the 100th item on your 400 item playlist, I shall see if I can find someone somewhere with a similarly-sized playlist to test (or we’ll create one). Thanks.

If, however, you are unable to play past 100 items on any size of Amazon playlist, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports. At the very least, they will be able to try one of our test accounts on your system to see if it is account-related.

I hope this helps.

Hello. I added a song to my list of 100 and it played!  Since that worked I went back to my Main playlist where I had the 400+ songs on it.  Tried it again and it worked!  Not sure when it started working but it is now.  Sorry to have wasted your time, very happy working now. I appreciate your help!

Hi @GuardDog32

Glad to hear it - thanks for coming back and updating the thread!

Not a waste of my time at all - I am here to help.

It is possible we wasted my colleague’s time, but that’s OK 😂

You are most welcome!
