I have recently moved to an samsung android device. On my apple device it was easy to delete songs in a playlist. How do you delete a song from a playlist on an android device?

I only have S1 so it might be slightly different in S2.
For the S1 app it is
Open the playlist.
Tap the 3 dots top right, tap edit playlist. This opens the list with an x to the left of each song.
Tap the x and the entry is gone immediately. Tap done when you have finished.

Do you get the screen with the X to the left of the track?
Are you actually tapping the red X?Tapping the track name will not work.
If you try to open the track list and it is empty, exit the App and restart it and the list will likely appear.

Tracklist is full of songs. I want to delete the ones i no longer want in the playlist. Esy to do on an ipad. So far not been able to do it on the samsung tablet.
