Any way to remove Sonos Radio after recent update?

With the latest update, there appears to be no way to remove Sonos Radio from Services & Voice.  The only option is to Reauthorize the service.  I don’t care about this service.  I don’t want this service, and I don’t want to be forced to see it in my list.  Seriously, this may be a deal breaker for me to continue using Sonos.

Why is a free service a deal breaker?

The inability to remove it form my services is the deal breaker.

But your not worried about removing TuneIn? There are two embedded services that can't be removed Sonos Radio and TuneIn. 😁

TuneIn isn’t in my services and isn’t forced into the list the same way the Sonos Radio is.

I second this.  There used to be an option to hide/delete this service, and Sonos have decided to remove it.  I know it’s because they want me to pay for a subscription to HD radio, but if I don’t want one then this sort of spam/bloatware is hardly going to act as an incentive.  It’s terrible customer relations (something which Sonos seem to specialise in) - all it does is piss people off.

I imagine @UKMedia thought you were referring to the list of sources (as I would also have done).  He probably didn’t think its appearance in a list in settings that you might not look at from one year to the next would be a big deal (I would have shared that view).

I don’t think it is a huge inconvenience in the list of sources, either, and there it is treated as TuneIn is and always has been treated.

Having forced Sonos Radio on me against my wishes, Sonos are now spamming me with promotional messages about it.  I have deleted the message "Dolly Parton on Holidaze" 12 times from the inbox on the app but it constantly reappears.

I have already bought my Sonos products.  Why won’t they just leave me alone?  The never-ending attempts to upsell me, via forced app updates, insidious “additional” (i.e. compulsory) services with paid add-ons, frequent in-app advertisements, etc., achieve nothing other than causing annoyance and resentment.

Firstly, it's not just the settings menu which is impacted, SonosRadio is peppered throughout (inc. browse, search) 😡

Secondly, it's unclear why one would think it's acceptable for Sonos to add advertising into our systems (I do not share that bizarre view).  It's almost annoying as Sonos shills responding new issues  without a solution, seemingly just to downplay or detract from the topic 🤡

Alas for the normal people who want to make Sonos a better product, please feel free share your thoughts with Sonos CEO Patrick (ceo@sonos.com). He responded within 48hrs to my complaint about SonosRadio, unfortunately though his delegate has yet to provide a solution (assuming the delay is due to festivities).

I seem to be having an issue, where at certain times (10:30-11:00AM, other not yet defined time windows) the Sonos jumps from playing my playlist, to the most recently added Sonos Radio channel. It was jumping to the Holidaze channel, and now its the New Year channel. The ability to remove this music source would be greatly helpful in troubleshooting the issue as nothing I can do locally seems to be of any help.

Has anyone else experienced this, and anyway to sucessfully stop it from happening?

Your Sonos  should never, ever ‘jump’ from one source to another without someone using a controller to make the  change.

Submit a diagnostic within 10 minutes of the next occurrence, and post the number here for someone at Sonos  to look at.
