Will Port work with Powered Speakers
I have a pair of powered bookshelp speakers (not connected to a reciever). Can I hook them up to a Port and stream using the Sonos app?

You should. The Port outputs a standard line level signal via its RCA out jacks, they should connect to powered speakers that have a normal line level input on them.
