New Router now can't connect to Sonos BR100 & ZP90

I have a Zonebridge BR100 & a Connect ZP90, this was working fine up until about a week ago when my Router died and I had to replace it.

The new router is a TP Link Archer AX72 and is working great for everything else. As soon as I connect the ethernet cable to the ZoneBridge my internet speeds in the house plummet from around 40Mbps to less than 200-300Kbps, the TP-Link Router tells me that a new device has connected but nothing can be found on the Sonos App, the Network lights are flashing on the ZB. I have reset the ZB and the App but still no devices can be found. As soon as I disconnect the ethernet cable from the ZB my internet speeds in the house go back to normal.

I don’t know what else to try.

Any advice gratefully received!!

I’d retire the BRIDGE completely. They’re past expected life, and the power supply, which goes pear shaped, makes tracking things down a bit hard. Either wire your ZP90 directly to the router with an Ethernet cable, or have it hang off your WiFi directly. See the wired and wireless modes FAQ.

Okay, no split network then. Try forcing your phone onto the 2.4GHz SSID from the TP-Link router.

The Router gives out the same SSID for 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz, it then decides which frequency to use automatically, you can't really choose. I did check what frequencies were being used as I thought it might be an issue but both my mobile and the ZP80 is on 2.4Ghz.

Strange that the mobile can’t discover the ZP then, if they’re both on the same BSSID. If anything the path between them ought to be simpler than when the mobile connects to a WAC104.

You don’t have client isolation enabled by any chance? Guest networks typically do this.

Nothing like a VPN enabled on the phone perhaps?

AP isolation was enabled, but I've just tried disabling that and just the same.

No VPN on the mobile.

Ironically, both my wife's phone and my laptop are using 5Ghz and connect fine, but my mobile which is using 2.4Ghz the same as theZP won't.…

All very odd.

I would maybe reboot the router after switching off the AP isolation and power-cycle your mobile device too, or at the very least disconnect/reconnect it to the WiFi network, to ensure the changes have taken place.
