Whenever there is a loud sound during a movie (like an explosion) the volume suddenly turns way down and I cannot turn it back up. I have to turn off tv and turn back on to reset it. I have the TV plugged into sonos amp via HDMI and using sonance in wall speakers. Any suggestions?
My connect speaker stopped working and I cannot add it back to the system. Has blinking red light and will not clear with a factory reset. Sonos can’t see the connect box anymore WTH happened. My factory reset consists on powering on the connect box while holding the pause/forward button. Amber light comes on briefly, and then straight to flashing red.
I purchased a T1 Phono SB turntable from Sonos and am trying to connect it to my system to play vinyls. My current setup has two roomsMedia Room (Room 1), is setup with an Arc, Amp, Sub and rear ceiling speakers; The speakers are connected tot he Amp. Patio (Room 2), is setup with a Move that I can “move” around the house.I connected the turntable to the Amp and tried to look endlessly for this “Line In” to show up, but have not had any luck. I’ve tried both on an Android and iOS.Need help, before I return the Turntable back to Sonos.
We attempted to set up a SONOS port in a business application and with a veteran IT engineer, was not able to use any of 3 wi fi networks or an un-restricted Ethernet connection. Took the device home and spent roughly 2-3 hours on and off to set up the device, have it work for 20 seconds of a song, then pause the song and the connection crashes. Easy to see why the SONOS APP’s get between a 2.7 and 3.1 ration out of 5.0 scale
I have an old goodmans turntable and I am trying to connect it to my play 5.The turntable has this connectionAnd I have thisBut I'm not sure if this the right connector any help would be appreciated
I’m trying to find the optimal settings for gain staging for my turntable, but when I use what I calculate should be the optimal setting, I get a lot of distortion.TLDR: math says I should set Sonos Line In Level to 10, but in reality it’s so distorted I have to set it down to 1 or 2My setup is: AT-LP120XUSB (with preamp switch disabled) AT-VM95ML cartridge / stylus Schiit Mani 2 Sonos Connect (non-amp version) Sonos Beam (speakers I output from Connect) From this thread, I’m using the formula V-output = V-input * 10^(gain / 20)https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/g6q6ua/calculating_linein_level_for_turntable/Here’s my current calculations and setup: the preamp is disabled on the LP120xusb VM95ML has output of 3.5mv and recommended loading of 100-200pf at 47k ohms short RCA and ground wire cables are used between turntable and Mani Mani filter settings are off as factory default Mani default setting is 47k/47pf, so I have enabled the switch to add an additional 47pf
Tried hooking my Sonos Era 100’s to my PC, worked for about 30 minutes then just stopped outputting any audio. Its still connected and any inputs I make on the speakers are reflected on my PC (song skip/volume changes) but there is still no output. The device is set as default and I have it selected as my main audio output device.Tried turning off and on Bluetooth, running audio troubleshoot, restarting both devices and still no luck. Any ideas on how to rectify this issue?
I recently bought a gen 1 sonos connect amp and after using it for a few weeks with 2 ceiling speakers I decided I needed a subwoofer. So I bought a Samsung wireless subwoofer and took it apart down to the speaker wire ports under the cover I then connected this to an rca adapter and plugged it into the sub output on my amp. I waited for a wile for it to show up and I also rebooted my system but no sub appeared on the app and the sub did not make any sound when playing music. Please help me make my sub work
Hi,I have an existing Project turntable (with built-in phono preamp), an integrated stereo amp, a Sonos port, and external speakers and I’m after thoughts on the best way to connect them up.I could connect the TT (using the built-in phono preamp) to the port, then connect the port to an input (CD?) on the stereo amporConnect the TT (bypassing the built-in phono preamp) to the phono input on the stereo amp, and connect the Port (CD?) to another input on that ampWould either approach produce the same sound quality, or would the DAC in the port provide a better outcome perhaps?Would one approach be better from a user experience perspective e.g. connecting the TT to the Port and using autoplay for line-in, etc thanks in advance 😊
Hi, I’m thinking of connecting my turntable with Sonos loudspeakers . I could buy two ERA100 or one ERA300. What are the differences? The room is fairly large (Height 3.2metres) with large windows? And what about one Five? Is it overkilling? I’m mainly listening vocal rock and classical music (Turntable and Airplay).
hi everybody,I’m using a Project elemental turntable (no pre-amp) with my sonos system through my sonos 5.It works fine but due to the lack of pre-amp on my turntable, I have to put the volume of my spreaker very high.So I bought a Nano LP1 pre-amp (RIAA equalization). Now, the sound is horrible. There are crackling noises that make the music inaudible. When I remove the pre-amp, the sound is back to normal (but I have to turn the volume up to maximum again) I went back to the store to get the Nano LT1 replaced but I have exactly the same problem with the new one. I tried to lower the source level with my sonos app but it didn’t solved the problem.Does someone have an idea? Thanks for any advice.NicolasEdit : I tried with different cables...
Hi so I am trying to update my connect amp I have tried everything to do it moved my unit next to the router, hardwired, multiple phones, my computer, and reset it reset all my products and just tried to do that one item. even disconnected and tried an entirely new account and nothing at all just keeps giving me a 1013 error and will not do anything. I can't update it at all. Tried calling Sonos and they had no help really.
I have a new 5.1 Sonos surround setup that I am looking to connect an existing non Sonos 2.1 PC speaker setup I have in my office. These speakers (Corsair SP 2500) are powered but not connected to an outside amp or receiver. Everything I see about the port discusses connection to a receiver or amp. I am wondering if the port will enable my existing speakers to tie into my Sonos setup?
Hi, I am having problems with my Sono’s system dropping speakers and stop playing music unexpectedly so I purchased a new Sono’s Boost. The instructions didn’t work at all. After plugging the Boost into the Ubiquiti Amplifi system the Sonos app couldn’t find it. I called tech support and got a person that I could barely understand. He walked me through rebooting the router, rebooting all 6 speakers, deleting and readding the sonos app, and factory resetting the boost. After over an hour on the phone I had to pause. I have reset the entire system at least 6 times now. Finally the Sonos app found the boost. When I went to add it there was a point it said to pressing the flasing infinity light on the Boost. The problem was the light would never flash. After pressing it anyway, the app went into an error 800. It tried unsuccessfully to update the boost. It never got it added and somehow I ended up losing 3 of the speakers from the system. I have a main router from AT&T del
I have a vintage JVC amp in the following configuration: Audio Technica AT-LP3 turntable JVC AX-1 amplifier Marantz CD-63 cd player Wharfedale Diamond 220 speakersThis set up is in one room, along with a Sonos Port. A Sonos Era:100 is located in another room, at the other end of the house.I don’t have a manual for the amplifier, but do have a vague recollection concerning a difference between Tape-1 and Tape-2 (an image shows the amp’s connections) -- I have read some posts here and elsewhere that recommend using the tape out/record sockets to connect a vintage amplier to a Sonos Port.So far, I have had mixed results integrating the Port and the Era with this set-up.When the Era in the kitchen is playing Radio 4 via the BBC Sounds app, I can send the signal to the Port and the signal plays in both rooms. However, sending audio the other way is proving to be a bit trickier. After much fiddling/tapping on the app and experimenting with RCA connections between ampliflier and Port, I have s
I have a Marantz nr1609 with a turntable and CD player. I have no traditional speakers. I have the Sonos Arc, 2 Sonos Gen3 subs and a pair of Sonos ones as my rear surrounds. I will replace the rears with eras at some point. I would like to play audio sources (CDs, Vinyl, and even AM/FM) hooked up to the receiver through the Sonos speakers and I fear I bought the wrong Sonos device. I have experimented with all sorts of hook ups and I am either very obtuse or I bought the wrong device (Port). Does anyone have this setup or similar and can you guide me to the proper hook up, if any? I have analog cables, I have a coax/digital cable and I have optical cables if needed. I searched and found many hooking up Sonos to tape monitor - which I dont have picture of back plane attached thanks for any advice If my receiver isn’t capable, what should I be looking for in a receiver to make this happen thanks in advance
I have two Five’s and the Victrola Stream Carbon. My internet as of late has been slower and I’ve got three kids streaming massive amounts of data all the time haha so I feel like the sound quality of my setup has diminished lately. Even though I have each component plugged into the back of our router. Is there a way to hardwire each speaker to the turntable so everything isn’t reliant on our internet? TIA.
Himy sonos system is 10 years old. It includes a pair of play5 speakers, a playbar, and a zone bridge and is operated with the s1 app. I have recently moved to a house where I am using starlink for internet access. The starlink router does not have an Ethernet port. is it possible to use my system without connecting the wifi router to the zonebridge with an Ethernet cable?
My current Sonos system: Playbar, Sub, One SL (qty. 2). I want to connect a turntable (I’ve not decided if it will include a pre-amp or not). Assuming I use a turntable without a pre-amp, and do not utilize a non-Sonos receiver or amp, what are my best options for turntable connection to my Sonos One SL speakers? Would a Connect Amp work, or is another solution preferable?
I have two KRK Rokit 4” monitors connected to a Sonos Amp as shown in the photo. I was thinking of adding a Sonos Mini base to get more base out of this configuration, but the Sonos mini base is wireless and I don’t believe would work with the Amp. I’m looking for recommendations to add a base speaker to this configuration, or some way to achieve more base.-Thanks
Sharing my experience with a Sonos Connect and my Netgear Orbi mesh network. TLDR: A wired ethernet connection from my Orbi router to the Sonos Connect S2 has made this connection stable, and overall more reliable. It appears there is an issue with the wifi connectivity from a Sonos Connect. Even when I have a wireless router in the same room (w/in 5’ of the Connect), the connection is unstable with many disconnects. Before hard-wireing the ethernet connection the status Network Matrix was not listing the Connect http://192.168.1.12:1400/support/review After hard-wiring the ethernet connection, the Network Matrix shows all components, but no information in the body of the grid - Is that normal?. Also, One row label is all red with the following info. What does that mean?DenRoot BridgeNoise Floor: -112, -106, -105OFDM ANI level: 9 P.S. Even the sad little Sonos Roam SL that is generally a pain in the arse to use seems to be happier now that the Connect is hard-wired ethernet.
I am considering buying the Sonance - MAG6.1 - Mag Series 6.1-Ch. Landscape Outdoor Speaker System Powered by Sonos® currently on sale at Best Buy. My existing home theater system consists of a Denon 1600AVR with in-ceiling speakers and a couple of Denon Home speakers in various rooms that I can control and stream through using HEOS. Would the landscape system above and my existing system be compatible such that I can stream the same thing inside and out? If so, how would I go about doing that?
Hi,I just ordered the outdoor amp and architectural speaker set. I’m assuming the answer is no, but wondering if I can split the two speakers the outdoor set comes with so I can put one speaker in the front yard, and one speaker in the back yard, and play one without the other, or have one playing one source, and the other another source. General idea be using them like a move or a “one”? And if so, would they individually play in mono, or would one be left and one right channel? Thanks
There is an orange marking on the Sony input. I know the Sonos uses 1/8 RCA but don’t know what the other end uses.
So my Amp has been working fine and as usual until today where it was not showing up on my Spotify at all and on the Sonos app just showed up greyed out as disconnected. I have tried every troubleshoot I've seen I factory reset the Amp and it removed from my system and I’ve tried to reconnect it but every time it gets to the connecting to WIFI bit it just says unable to connect to WIFI check password or router. Nothing I do has resolved it I rebooted my router double checked the password and everything but it just won’t reconnect which is just bizarre to me because I have no idea why it would randomly disconnect and then not be able to reconnect. My Sonos one is working fine and as normal it is just the Amp that refuses to connect. It has occasionally dropped out in the past but this is different I’ve always been able to sort it fairly quickly before or a factory reset always does the trick but this just does not seem to be resolvable to me. Does anyone have any ways to resolve this?
