I’ve got Sonos Amp + Sub with a pair of KEF Q150. Looking to replace the Q150 with Beolab 18. How can I connect? Currently, I use the Sonos Amp with TV for Disney+/Netflix and Spotify for music. Thanks. Beolab 18 First time setup Beolab has toslink and RCA.
Where can you find the MAC address for the Sonos AMP devices?
Since my system keeps freezing (The new app) All 3 rooms although sometimes it doesn’t even find any speakers. What I suggest is whoever sanctioned this god awful app needs sacking and that goes for some members of the board as well but judging by the current state of SONOS and us having ZERO TRUST in the app there is probably one app designer who doubles as the CEO. When will we get the REAL VERSION BECAUSE THIS IS A JOKE AND YOU AND YOUR DELUDED MATES NOT WILL BE FAR AWAY FROM RE-MORTGAGING YOUR HOMES AND JOINING THE WELFARE STATE -WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN -SORT IT OR LEAVE—WE WANT ANSWERS OR START RETURNING OUR MONEY
I have changed my Messh routers and changed the WiFi network. All Sonos speakers have been readded to new network and are working fine. However I cannot add my Boost to the new setup however many times I try . The latest Sonos app sees the Boost but will not add it. The Boost is hardwired to a Mesh router.im exactly the same way as it was before - everything is the same as before except. I have rest the Boost twice and tried again and this has made no difference What am I doing wrong?
What is the best set up of a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable to integrate it with my existing Sonos system including an Amp and Port? The Sonos port is connected to an advanced amplifier which I would prefere to use for the turntable, however any advice is welcome
Amp stops playing but App thinks it is Still going. Selecting a different room to add then causes app to crash. Pretty consistently. I got a diagnostic ****** after. If it’s in a group it drops in and out. I got six new Amps and only this one is giving me problems. Moderator Note: Recorded and removed Diagnostic Number. Hey all, I have looked at everything I can about Ubiquiti and Sonos, but continue to run into issues. Here is my setup: Sonos AMP hardwired to a USW-Lite 16 PoE into a USW-24-POE- into a Dream Machine. I have everything set to STP. I am able to get an IP address to the Sonos and it shows up in the topology map. When I try to configure the AMP, I get to the point where it says push the connect button on the back and it just never responds. I set up a different very dumb network and did the same thing and had no issues so obviously the ubiquity is the problem but I don’t know where to go from here. Can any of you advise?
My setup includes a raspberry pi with Darkice and Icecast2 streaming on my local network so that I can play my vinyls through my Sonos system. This has been working perfectly for over a year now, but with the new Sonos app, my “favourited” stream has disappeared. So I am unable to play my vinyls through Sonos. I’ve tried adding the Tune-in (new) service, authorised my account, added the custom URL - which works fine through the Tune-in app. I’ve even marked it as a favourite, but it’s not available through the new Sonos app. I’ve removed and re-authenticated the tune-in (new) service a number of times, hoping it would refresh, but no luck. I’m not interested in all the public streaming radio channels and would just like to be able to play my vinyls locally as I've been able to. Has anyone managed to find a solution to this?
Hi,My current setup is as follows 2 Built-in speakers connected to an AMP --- “BEDROOM” 1 Sonos ARC used as soundbar on TV + 2 ERA 100 that are grouped as SURROUND--- “LIVING ROOM” I also have a turntable with audio out. I connected it to one of my ERA 100’s and it plays beautifully, however, it appears I have to turn my surround pairing (ERAS 100 speakers) to allow for a Line-IN. It appears as if I can get a PORT to plug into turntable and can leave the ARC/ERA100/ERA100 surround grouping. If I do this - can I still play music through the “Surround” system via Line-IN on the PORT or do ALL line-in connections get disabled once these 3 speakers are grouped into a TV Surround System? Or is it just the Line-IN speakers on the surround speakers that gets disabled?Just need to know if adding PORT will solve my problem here. I want to be able to use the ERA 100/ARC speakers as both music (Spotify/Turntable) as well as a TV Surround System. I’d also like to be able to play music from Turnta
Question: I am replacing a few Connects with Ports. None of these relate to my ‘primary’ stereo, so audio quality is important but not enough to consider including an external DAC. All the Connects in question were previously connected via Toslink to various amps: an old Marantz, an Onkyo, and an old Cambridge. Now that Port doesn’t have Toslink, I need to decide if I should buy digital coax cables instead, to replicate the existing setup, or just go with analogue (ie buy some reasonable analogue cables, and use the Port’s DAC in each case). Appreciate thoughts on which way to go. Thanks
Hi allCan I just check I am correct? My son nicked a couple of old Play 1s we werent using and added them into his bedroom… fine for playing music from the Sonos app.He wants to be able to have the sound from his gaming and any movies he watches from his Mac Mini to come out of the speakers as the monitor speakers are poor… this means we need speakers enabled with Airplay right? So if I pciked up a couple of Sonos Ones (Gen 1 or 2), a Beam (Gen 1 or 2) on ebay that would work? Is there anything I need to be aware of?Thanks
Hello Sonos Community, I have recently purchased (yesterday, still awaiting. I have a Sonos amp powering to outdoor speakers. I want to be able to output audio from my cable box on my patio. Previously, I Attached the HDMI cable from my cable box to an audio extractor in order to get an optic feed. I then used the Sonos optic feed to HDMI adapter to push audio to the amp. However, ever since updating to the new Sonos app this no longer works reliably. Most often the Sonos app does not seem to recognize any feed coming from the optical to HDMI Sonos adapter.Does anyone have a similar set up and had any success with the new Sonos app getting audio to play either through the Sonos optical to HDMI adapter or the line in? At this point, I have bought three different audio extractor devices from Amazon with no luck. Thanks for any suggestions.
This new Sonos app is absolutely terrible no one like it on our home. slow reacting. Difficult to know at glance how to control speakers. want to lower volume and pick constantly wrong room. what a disaster. no intuitive at all. Huge step back.
Hi,I plan on buying Sonos AMP and connect it to 4 Sonos Inwall speakers.I would like to connect my Onkyo AV receiver to the Sonos AMP and hear the AV receiver through the 4 Sonos Inwall speakers. Can it be done and howThanks
I’ve had one SONOS Amp running two 8 ohm speakers for years with no issue.I just purchased a second Amp so I could run another pair of 8 ohm speakers to a different area of my back yard. I connected everything today, and the new amp will play for about 10 seconds then I will hear a loud pop. The amp then flashed white and either orange or red (hard for me to tell the difference).I tried connecting my old Amp to the new speakers and it works fine. I connected the new Amp to the existing speakers and had the same pop.I’ve tried different variations between the different sets of speakers and the new Amp keeps popping. What else can I check? Is this new Amp bad? Thanks -Ron
Sonos customer service is one of the worst I have experience. I don't know what has cause the decline .I have had issues 6 weeks with my sonos amp and outdoor architectural speakers.Anytime I try to call it's min 60 mins hold. Then I spent 2 hrs trouble shouting. They replaced the amp. Took 2 week to get this and still didnt fix it. Had to call again 80 min hold this time. Spent another 2 hours on the phone and was told it's the speakers and I should never been told it was an amp issue. It's been 2 weeks since this call. After a week of failed attempts to use rhe advance option to ship new replacement speakers I am now told that the 5 business days shipping is change to 6 weeks. They don't care about customers. I have spent over 10,000$ on Sonos products and I am beginning to regret this because of the terrible after service
HiI have a t/table and CD that I would like to be able to incorporate into my home Sonos system but still use my passive speakers (ProAc).i think this means i need a PortMy question regards connectivity to my Amp - the Rega Elicit R (10 yrs old) which has a pre-amp out socketShould i connect into the Port from the pre-amp out and then back into the amp through the tape input or just use the tape in and out and turn on the record monitor ? thanks for any thoughts
Line out to Sonos 5 gen 1/ and Yamaha tuner tuner is connected to components cd /phono/turntable tape deckall components are working properly but doesn’t play through speakers it did but not now please advise
I’m confused about how the Sonos Amp handles line-in for a 2x Amp setup for 4.1 Surround. I have it plugged in and it works, but I don't see the source level in the new app. Customer support says that both Amps line-in are disabled, but I thought it was just the Amp that is powering the surrounds. Does the source level appear in the old app? It doesn’t appear now.
So the ZP-80 sounds clean and if it comes on can play well for an hour or after few minutes will drop out for half a second every few seconds way about 10 times and then go silent. Might stay silent for a very long time and randomly jolt in a few seconds and then gone again. Sometimes it fades away quickly but less often. Rapid wiggling of the App volume can sometimes make it start to work whilst the volume is being agitated but stops and indeed fades away as soon as you stop doing that.Loud gain doesn’t improve anything or jar it into working and it doesn’t behave like dry joints. I have read through forum topics and have done a hard reset on the ZP-80. Turned off the router and all devices and then turned the router on first and the Sonos’ afterwards. Have altered MAC addresses and DNS of nearby Xbox. Not getting anywhere. A 2nd ZP-80 plays mostly fine. 4 other Sonos devices are solid. ZP-80 was 1m away from the router through a wall. Moved it 3m away to try proximity issue
Where can I get Sonos Amp repaired in Mumbai. It has gone DEAD.Suddenly does not turn on.
Hello everyoneA couple of days ago I received my new Sonos Amp, I already installed it on my old TV via HDMI ARC (Samsung 55MU6103) and configured it with the Sonos App, the App did recognize the HDMI port and listen to the sound it gives. The problemThe problem is that the audio from the TV cannot be heard on the Amp (whether I changed the HDMI cable, disconnected other HDMI devices from the TV, or set the sound to PCM) and it still cannot be heard. The funny thing is that by connecting my Sonos Beam to that same HDMI cable and the same TV without modifying anything, the Beam can be heard, I don't know what else to do with the AmpThe online input of the Sonos Amp works perfectly as well as sending music via WIFI from the Sonos app
I woke up this morning to play some music in my office, and the Port wasn’t responding. In fact, it’s not even present in the app, and upon inspection, the front status light wasn’t on, even though it was connected to power. Changing to a known good power outlet, still nothing. No lights on the front or on the back. Attempted reset by holding down the infinity button and plugging it back in, nothing.Seems it just died on its own for whatever reason? I’d love to contact support but that’s not an option anymore apparently. Device is from February this year.
