Hi so I am trying to update my connect amp I have tried everything to do it moved my unit next to the router, hardwired, multiple phones, my computer, and reset it reset all my products and just tried to do that one item. even disconnected and tried an entirely new account and nothing at all just keeps giving me a 1013 error and will not do anything. I can't update it at all. Tried calling Sonos and they had no help really.
I have a Marantz nr1609 with a turntable and CD player. I have no traditional speakers. I have the Sonos Arc, 2 Sonos Gen3 subs and a pair of Sonos ones as my rear surrounds. I will replace the rears with eras at some point. I would like to play audio sources (CDs, Vinyl, and even AM/FM) hooked up to the receiver through the Sonos speakers and I fear I bought the wrong Sonos device. I have experimented with all sorts of hook ups and I am either very obtuse or I bought the wrong device (Port). Does anyone have this setup or similar and can you guide me to the proper hook up, if any? I have analog cables, I have a coax/digital cable and I have optical cables if needed. I searched and found many hooking up Sonos to tape monitor - which I dont have picture of back plane attached thanks for any advice If my receiver isn’t capable, what should I be looking for in a receiver to make this happen thanks in advance
I have two KRK Rokit 4” monitors connected to a Sonos Amp as shown in the photo. I was thinking of adding a Sonos Mini base to get more base out of this configuration, but the Sonos mini base is wireless and I don’t believe would work with the Amp. I’m looking for recommendations to add a base speaker to this configuration, or some way to achieve more base.-Thanks
Sharing my experience with a Sonos Connect and my Netgear Orbi mesh network. TLDR: A wired ethernet connection from my Orbi router to the Sonos Connect S2 has made this connection stable, and overall more reliable. It appears there is an issue with the wifi connectivity from a Sonos Connect. Even when I have a wireless router in the same room (w/in 5’ of the Connect), the connection is unstable with many disconnects. Before hard-wireing the ethernet connection the status Network Matrix was not listing the Connect http://192.168.1.12:1400/support/review After hard-wiring the ethernet connection, the Network Matrix shows all components, but no information in the body of the grid - Is that normal?. Also, One row label is all red with the following info. What does that mean?DenRoot BridgeNoise Floor: -112, -106, -105OFDM ANI level: 9 P.S. Even the sad little Sonos Roam SL that is generally a pain in the arse to use seems to be happier now that the Connect is hard-wired ethernet.
So my Amp has been working fine and as usual until today where it was not showing up on my Spotify at all and on the Sonos app just showed up greyed out as disconnected. I have tried every troubleshoot I've seen I factory reset the Amp and it removed from my system and I’ve tried to reconnect it but every time it gets to the connecting to WIFI bit it just says unable to connect to WIFI check password or router. Nothing I do has resolved it I rebooted my router double checked the password and everything but it just won’t reconnect which is just bizarre to me because I have no idea why it would randomly disconnect and then not be able to reconnect. My Sonos one is working fine and as normal it is just the Amp that refuses to connect. It has occasionally dropped out in the past but this is different I’ve always been able to sort it fairly quickly before or a factory reset always does the trick but this just does not seem to be resolvable to me. Does anyone have any ways to resolve this?
We have a Connect:Amp wired in the closet and a built in speakers in the living room. We connected the app through Wi-Fi but since connect:amp is not bluetooth or airplay compatible we can not connect to Samsung TV only to music through the app. Is there any way we can connect the TV to the speakers if we can not move the Connect Amp (HDMI Arc and other cables)?
Is there a way to connect wireless headphones to a Sonos system? I have a Sonos Port, a number of Sonos speakers, only one of which has Bluetooth capability (Sonos Move). I recently purchased a Bluetooth transmitter (Avantree Oasis Plus) hoping i could connect it to the Sonos Port, pair my headphones to the transmitter, effectively turning my headphones into speakers. Thanks
Hey guys, I’ve recently bought a marantz amp for my home theatre surround sound (passive, non Sonos) and a port to get Sonos in the room. I’ve plugged the Sonos rcas from out on the port into cd in on the marantz and have no sound. sonos port is connected fine and shows it’s playing. It’s playing in other zones fine. Volume output I’ve tried fixed, variable and pass through…. also have sound through tv input on the marantz which is fine.. any other tips 🙏🙏? cheersjon
Hi Sonos Timelords. I have a great Sonos system. Connect:amp series 2. player sub mini and two architectural speakers hard wired to the connect:amp. Does everything as promised. I have a massive vinyl collection and purchased Project turntable,Project e pre-amp and Port. Run the TT and CD player through Port as line-in. CD. fidelity is perfect, TT so distorted as to be unlistenable. I lie to vinyl experience. Should I seperate the analogy and digital systems completely or is there something I am missing. I note the TT-Port issue is common. Please help before I have a stroke.
Wow, I just got off the phone with SONOS support. First time I have called in 12 years. I long for the days when you called and got an engineer on the phone. Someone who does not read from a script and actually understands the technology including networking. The issue was my environment was disappearing. This was happening on MAC, IPADs, PC and Iphones. It would either connect, take minutes to connect or just tell me in could not find the SONOS network. I rebooted the Unifi 24 Port Pro and UDM Pro without much luck. I was able to connect to the devices via web interface and they were all there. All on the correct network however once I got connected via the app I removed the network and added it back. I also use SONOSnet on some as I have them wired in.. I changed channels and finally settled on “1”. Support kept asking to remote into the iphone to check it’s settings. Just didn’t get it was not the Iphone. Also, he did not understand what a UDM Pro was - He kept asking for the route
adding a bridge connected to a Paradigm PW800 Bridge appears in my System Products list. Gave it the name Office.Office does not show up as a room for me to play music through…How do I fix this?
I recently moved into a house which is prewired with 10 speakers throughout 6 different rooms of the house. The speakers are wired with 16 AWG stranded conductors (sometimes two conductors braided together). In one room, I have 2 speakers that accompany a tv so would be good to somehow put those speakers on the tv output (optical cable or hdmi) I’d like to have the ability to play music to the 6 different area’s independently and control with a smart speaker or my phone. Can someone give me some ideas on what equipment is needed to accomplish this? The Sonos amp seems to be 1 zone, figured there must be something with multiple channels. I currently use Amazon prime music so curious if the Sonos software and hardware can interface with that. Thanks.
Does anyone fix Sonos Connect Amps? Mine worked with S2 (so Gen2), power, wifi, updates work, just no output. Status light stayes white with no speakers and volume set to 100%. Everything appears to be working except the output.
I’m doing a small audio project for a local gym. They have all of the equipment they need to play music during their workouts. The way they have it set up to play is they have a Sonos Connect connected directly to a speaker system. They use their Samsung Galaxy Android tablet to control the music to play using the Sonos app. The Sonos Connect is wired to the router that provides access to the internet for them. They use either Spotify or Apple Music as the source of the music. When the internet goes down or gets spotty, they can’t play music and if that happens during a workout, it’s a big problem. What I’m planning to suggest to them is that we get some sort of local source of music they can use as a backup. Something like an external drive that can be connected to the Sonos Connect directly with some MP3s on it. Of course they wouldn’t have a big variety of music on their backup system and they’d have to buy the music that goes there, which are two downsides. Is this a good (or maybe t
Hopefully other Telus Wifi users will find this post helpful and maybe share my pain. Telus upgraded my router to the white Arcadyan router that looks like a trashcan. The router’s performance is good, but Sonos is unstable, especially when trying to Airplay content to the speakers. I understood that Sonos speakers use the 2.4GHz to play media content, but they also use the 5GHz band for operational tasks (inter-speaker communications). When logged into my router’s management GUI I can see the speakers are connected to my Wifi network. However, what I didn’t realize, and thankfully what a Sonos support call confirmed, was that the speakers were locked to the 5GHz network. When I reconnected my speakers to the new Telus network they initially connected to the network on the 5GHz band. The Arcadyan router broadcasts the same network name for both frequency bands, and it decides which device is assigned to which network band (2.4 or 5GHz). You can turn off specific bands in the admin inte
We are wiring a new home with Sonos ceiling speakers in each room powered by Sonos Amps. We would like to have in the wall rotary volume knobs to control the volume for each Room/Amp. We have used Sonos products since Gen 1, this is our first whole home speaker setup and my wife prefers to control the volume from a wall switch than going to the app each time. Thanks For Your Help & Have Great Day !
I have recently been having issues with very low audio levels from my Sonos Connect which plays through speakers via a tuner (at the highest volumes on Sonos and the tuner I could just barely hear music from my speakers). After some trouble-shooting (including using the loop-through method suggested in support), I isolated the problem as a failure in the RCA ouput.I spent a fair amount of time with customer support technicians who ran diagnostics several times. However, those diagnostics apparently did not reveal any problems (exactly what they do is unclear). Eventually, they wanted me to do various cable re-arrangements etc. As I had already connected, disconnected, swapped etc. multiple cables multiple times from various devices that was not going to yield any answers. My conclusion is that there must be some circuity in the Connect that has failed and resulted in the RCA outputs not delivering meaningful signal. The customer service people were not able to confirm that, but t

My existing bridge stop working and I purchased a second hand from FB. Any help to get the second-hand bridge to connect and work with my Play 5 Gen1 is much appreciated. Dennis
Apologies in advance for the rant. If you hate rants scroll on, this will end part rant/part questionand feedback solicitation.SYSTEM INFO2 Sonos 1 speakers, 1 Roam, 1 Beam Soundbar, 2 connect amps (5 yrs or so old) that I connect 2 sets of outdoor polk speakers, 2 into each amp. 1 sonos boost. OS is S2 Intend to add the mini subwoofer but after this may refrai from spending ore money on Sonos products ISSUEAudio is cutting in and out of the outdoor speakers. Sometimes 1set plays and the other set does not. Or the audio cuts in and out. It's not the speakers because when the issue happens, it happens to the entire pair. WHAT DID I DO BEFORE CONTACTING SUPPORT The usual stuff, rebooted the modem and router. I then changed the network channel in the sonos app and tried each of the 3 channels. Still had the same audio issue WHAT DID SUPPORT SAY?Via chat, I contacted support and ran 2 diagnostics, one without the system being used and another lucky enough while I was having the
I have a two channel receiver. Can I connect two separate Sonos Connects, one to each channel? Will this allow me to play two different sources to two different zones or do I need a two (multi) zone receiver for that?
I've gone through the gamut. Even tried connecting my port directly to the router via ethernet cable. Nothing. Been trying everything multiple times over the past week. Nothing. Help me.
Hi, I currently have a Sonos Beam 1st gen connected to a tv that works fine. I also have a House of Marley turntable that I’d like to listen to through the Beam by adding a Sonos Port (which I’d have to buy). Would that be possible and would I still be able to have the tv audio coming out of the Beam when I watch tv? Thanx, Matt
So, I am attaching some screenshots of the outside of our house. We spend most of the time under the over hang on the upper porch, where I use the Blackstone, but out in front too on the lower porch. I am wondering where would be the best place to put a pair of Klipsch aw650 speakers, I am running them to the inside of the house where we are putting a Sonos amp. I was thinking under the edge of the over hang and pointed to the lower porch, either in an upright position angled in from the corner uprights. Or was thinking directly down from the crossbeam. I could attach them to the house against the wall under the upper over hang, but not sure how the sound would project across the area. I am worried about not getting enough sound under the overhang if positioned on the uprights or front beam on the overhang but also worried about projecting sound across from the far wall. Any suggestions? The first picture I put colored lines in the 3 different arrangements I had in mind, the other pics
Hello,I am planning to use the in ceiling speakers for my front porch. Are these speakers compatible with outdoor conditions and handle moisture and heat over 100F?
I want to begin using my Compact discs again and need to buy a Compact disc changer. If I bought a bluetooth compact disc player, can that be streamed to my sonos speakers?
