Volume turns down by itself

I use Sonos in a restaurant and we manage the music + volume through the app.

Every day, at the same time, the volume turns down on its own. I turn it up, and 2 or 3 seconds later, it turns back down again. It seems to be capped at 15, won’t stay any higher. Later in the night (several hours later, once the restaurant is closed again), we can take it back up.

We have 2 other locations where we use Sonos (2 separate bars), and no issue there, only the one in the restaurant.

Any idea what is happening?

Usually it is something you set up and forgot about changing the volume.

Wait for it to happen again, within a few minutes submit a diagnostic to Sonos. When convenient call support with the number and they can tell you just what changed the volume so you can stop it.

I think i read a similar issue to yours… just to make sure are you using Sonos Amp? It might happen due to shorting of the speakers connected to it

What streaming service are you using? Could that be altering the volume?

We usually use Spotify, but it has happened with other streaming services too. I’ll try what the others have recommended and hopefully can figure it out.

Thank you!
