I’m unable to add new speakers to my existing system because a Bridge still shows up as in the system even though I’ve gone through the removal/reset process on the Bridge.  After resetting the Bridge (repeatedly), as well as rebooting the router, the Bridge still shows up in the system.  The system has a Port, still works and even updates.  But, when I go to add a new speaker to the system, the app says I need to update the system, which always fails because it still shows a Bridge that’s incompatible with S2.  Any suggestions how to remove/forget the Bridge short of having to forget and reinstall my entire system (some 15 products)?  Thanks in advance.

Power down BRIDGE because it is not compatible with S2. You’ll need to replace BRIDGE with BOOST, go fully WiFi, or wire another player to your network.

Don’t Factory Reset anything without further consult.

Thanks, Buzz.  I've actually been running with a BOOST for a long while but one of my earlier BRIDGES is still showing on the system even though I tried resetting it and leaving it unplugged.  Having that "ghost" BRIDGE still listed hasn’t prevented my system from playing and auto-updating.  But when I went to add a ROAM the app says I need to update, which I can’t because of the ghost BRIDGE.  I also can't manage networks now - that option is greyed out and when I still click on it, I get the pop-up saying System Update Needed.  The problems seems to be that Sonos still thinks I have the BRIDGE in my system, even though I don’t.  Appreciate any suggestions!

Eventually, the system will forget about BRIDGE, but this could require 48 hours. As I recall, you can accelerate the forgetfulness by rebooting the remaining SONOS units.

I’ve also found that rebooting the router sometimes helps, if the BRIDGE is no longer plugged in.

If none of the other suggestions works, you could try uninstalling the app and then reinstall it from the relevant app store. Connect to existing system.

Then do a check for updates, as the system needs to be updated as well as the app.
