Sonos Port used with B&O active speakers and 10m cabel -> speakers makes buzz when port in standby mode

Hi

I have just replaced my Connect (v1) with at Port…

I have a setup with port in one end and 2 B&O active speaker in the other using the Line-entence.

I have a 10m cabel in between (and this is the issue)

When the POrt is not active, the speakers make a constant buzz and never power down.

There are a constant noice from the speaker…

If I replace the 10m cabel, with a 0,5m cabel  → no problems…

My Clever friends talks about, the 10 cabal acts as an antenna, when not in use and this

is the reason for the constant buzz…

When I used the Old Connect, it was not a problem.

What Can I do??

Try a better quality cable?

Alternatively try grounding the Port (and possibly the B&Os). As an experiment touch a wire between one of the Port’s RCA sheaths and something you know is grounded, such as an earth pin or a bare water pipe.

Your clever friend may be partially correct. Does the 10m cable go near any power wiring, power supplies, or large appliances?

Is PORT using the same outlet as the B&O speakers?

If possible, experiment with flipping power cord orientations. You may find a combination that will minimize or eliminate the noise.

Is anything connected to PORT’s Line-In? If so, temporarily disconnect this source.
