Hi, I am using Sonos Port exclusively as Line out (no line in connected).

Essentially I want to play music from the Sonos App into my PC speakers.

I read that in this case there should be 0 delay.

However I’ve been using it for a while and found there was a noticeable delay.

How do I fix this?

I’ve set Audio Delay to Low in the Port but still see that the Port is the only unit out of sync.

Delay as compared to what other source?

To exemplify, when I play music from Sonos App, it plays in the following devices:

Sonos Move x2 (no delay)

Sonos SL x2 (no delay)

Sonos Arc + Sub (no delay)

Sonos Port (delay)

All of these are in sync except sonos port to PC. Again there is no line in.

The Port is synching perfectly with your other Sonos devices. The delay is in your PC's processing.

Thanks John, any ideas on how to fix this then?

7Not really. Nothing within Sonos, certainly, as there is nothing Sonos can do to correct something that is downstream of anything it can control.

The Port is designed for a HiFi amp. Sometimes this delay issue arises on AV receivers, and some of these have the means to turn off the sound processing.  I'm afraid I don't know if anything similar can be done with a PC.

But there is nothing to 'fix' in Sonos.
