sonos playing random songs without being directed to

My Sonos has been playing random songs on and off recently. No alarms set.

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Someone initiated playback via the Spotify app, which was signed into the same account as your Sonos system. I recommend you speak to anyone who has access to your Spotify account. Note that a person does not have to be on your WiFi to be able to do this, just online.

The cause of random playback is always Spotify.

Based on what we’ve seen in these forums, I’d have to agree. So far, there’s never been an instance of a Sonos device randomly playing songs. It’s almost always Spotify ,  an alarm that someone isn’t aware of, or some home automation software that isn’t Sonos.
