Sonos connect variable output level question

Hey I have the coax feeding my receiver with the output set to variable. I have to turn the volume up on my receiver 40db from the default to match the SL’s in the other room. Is there any fix for this? It’s a bit dangerous since if the source is switched at the receiver the volume is so high it could blow a speaker - it’s happened and the effect is total voice of God.

Can’t you set that coax output from your receiver to fixed? All Sonos inputs are looking for line level inputs, not variable ones.

If I set it to fixed then I can’t control the receiver volume with the Sonos app - which would mean I have to make two separate volume adjustments - one for the connect and one for anything else that is playing. I wanted it all on the app.
