Sonos 2 macOS App crashing on launch

The macOS app crashes when trying to launch it.

Here’s an excerpt from the crash log (I’ve obfuscated some parts of the string, as I don’t know if it’s identifiable information) which makes me believe it’s due to the new chip and the need for Rosetta?

Application Specific Information:
rosetta error: /var/db/oah/279281325301325309952/99b56c7139d72c1c08e4f99e08646274d4e9fd/Sonos.aot: attachment of code signature supplement failed: 1

I’ve checked out some posts from crashes with the new MacBooks, but I don’t have a VPN installed or an antivirus other than the native one.

Re-install did not fix the issue.

Specs:

  • MacBook Pro (16” 2021)
  • macOS Monterey (12.01)

I think you may need to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.

I’m not having this issue on either of my Macs, an M1 Air and a year older Intel based Pro, both running the latest Mac OS.
