We just bought a couple of new Sonos One SL’s, and aren’t able to add them to our system.  When trying to set them up, they get found, but the setup process doesn’t finish.  We get to the chime step, but the connection never completes.

We added a couple of new One SL’s last fall, so they should be compatible.  We did replace the wi-fi router, but our Connect:Amp is hard wired to the internet.  Rebooted everything.

We’re still running Sonos S1 on an iPhone, since we have non-compatible devices (an old Connect:Amp).

Any thoughts?

If you’ve tried all of the steps here and are still not having any luck, get in touch with our customer care team who can take a deeper look into what’s happening to your system.

Thanks James.  Found the problem -- it was a setting in the Asus RT-AC88U wifi router.  Had to disable a firewall setting (Airtime fairness).
