Gen 2 Connect will not factory reset

I have a gen 2 connect that will not join my network. When I try a factory reset it does move the the blinking orange but never to green. While blinking orange I can detect it on my S2 app but when I try to add it, it always fails when it tells me to push the play/pause button to add it with the message  of “We didn’t detect a button press from the Connect”

It’s entirely possible that there is a failure in the electronics, I would urge you to call Sonos support.

Yep, it was a hardware failure
