Whenever I do (almost) anything to a sonos playlist, I get an. I cannot save the queue to a new playlist or as a replacement of an existing playlist. Sonos always gives me an error (usually “unable to save queue”). Sometimes, in spite of the error, the new or modified playlist will show up only to be missing a hour or two later. This is very frustrating as it is how I save playlists from my own physical library.

Most frequently, that would indicate an issue with wifi interference , as at the moment you’re attempting to save that playlist, the controller is experiencing difficulty reaching the software running in the speakers.

It happens all of the time. It never “doesn’t” happen. We never have any of the other issues associated with wifi (like song drops or buffer problems).

Then submit a diagnostic, and call Sonos. Nothing better than hard data to look at, rather than a multitude of guesses.

How many Sonos playlists do you have? There is a finite limit, I cant recall if its a limit to the number, or to the total size of them all. If you are close to the limit it might explain it.

@controlav Thanks for your helpful response. I’ve considered this and have culled my lists back a bit with no change in Sonos behavior. However, it wasn’t done very methodically so, that will be my next step. For reference I have 28 playlists. I haven’t counted the sizes since Sonos, unlike Spotify or Apple, doesn’t summarize the size of each list.
