The power went out on our house and the sonos sysytem stopped working - tried to reboot but the connect ZP90 I use for ethernet connection has no lights on front - does this mean it is ded?

Possibly. Try unplugging it from power for a couple of minutes. If this doesn’t work, contact Sonos Support.

Likely. Are the network port lights active? They should be active only when a cable is connected.
Power outages are often accompanied by dangerous transients that damage equipment. Why did the transient pick on ZP90? It could be that ZP90 was the most sensitive unit. Mother Nature is never fair about these things, it’s possible that the transient was more intense on some circuits.
