Dummy Load on Sonos Connect: Amp

Hello friends,

I’ve been thinking about reworking our living room setup a bit.

I would like to get a Beam for our TV and then place two Play Ones/SL/Ikea speakers as  surround sound.

Right now, I have a Sonos Connect: Amp hooked up to some tall Polk speakers. Is it possible to create a dummy load for the Connect:Amp so that I can stream the audio to the surround setup and not burn out the amp?

Essentially, I’m trying to make the Connect: Amp more like the Port but without investing in that piece for the time being.

This would eliminate the use of the Polk speakers and free up some space in the living room.

Just leave the Connect:Amp’s speaker terminals unconnected. It doesn’t need or want a dummy load. It isn’t a tube amp.

Thank you, ratty. I guess I thought all amps needed a dummy load. I didn’t want to burn the thing out.
