Best Speaker Wire for Amp?

Looking at Amp for existing outdoor speakers as well as one for hooking up to existing high end floor speakers. Want to optimize the output without overkill. Does anyone have a recommendation for either of these?

Any speaker wire made of 100% copper will work just fine.

Here is Sonos’ wire gauge recommendation based on the distance of the speakers to the Amp:

Thanks for this. Where was it on the site?Guess I am not that good of a detective. I assume you can’t overkill without harming. Gauge vs MM or is that just standard for each?


The measurement in millimeters is just the diameter for each gauge. All 16 gauge (AWG) speaker wire is about 1.3 mm in diameter.
