I'm looking to add my B&W 805 speakers to my Sonos system. Currently I have a sonos connect and a independent Rotel power amp which I used to use to power the speakers from my old non sonos system. #1) Do I need the Rotel power amp to power my BW speakers or can I go from Sonos Connect direct to my B&W speakers. Thanks..
Dear Sonos, I am coming to a fork in my home automation/music evolution in my home. My question is, when will sonos be controllable via amazon echo? I am voice automating everything and I feel I may need to start going away from sonos and towards other technologies that are compatible with echo. What is the plan for sonos? when will i able able to control my sonos with my echos?
Hi, I have a Sonos Connect (connected to my Record deck and amp and 2 of my own wired in speakers) and a sonos play speaker. When playing my music from my ipad or android phone I can easily conect and get both speakers (my own pair and the sonos play) to play at once by grouping them. However when I play my vynals via my deck and amp, I can only get my own speakers working conected to my amp, but nothing via my Sonnos Play speaker? Can't work out why ..... shouldnt the Sonos Play speaker pick up via the wifi link what I'm playing on my deck via the Sonos connect module? Please advise!
You have the choice between several NAMES for the ROOMS. But if I want a different name, I can set it? I want veranda or tuinkamer (garden room). Je hebt de keuze tussen een aantal NAMEN voor de KAMERS. Maar als ik een andere naam wil, kan ik dat instellen? Ik wil veranda of tuinkamer.
Hi, Sonos aside, what I'm trying to describe is how a song sounds when you listen to it with only 1 speaker (of a 2 speaker pair) activated and you can only hear one "half" of the song in that speaker. The leading instruments (as an example) sound muted, as they are supposed to be played out of the second speaker. This effect is happening on my solo Play 1 speaker, albeit only for certain songs. If you want to try and replicate, play "Dear Mr. Fantasy" from this album on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/4DVHx9Smqa6ZZX99rU4zkI For me, the leading vocals and guitar are quite muted. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I would like to use a Connect to play music through my Samsung TV's soundbar. I'd really like to use the Bluetooth input of the soundbar rather than snaking a cable to the Connect. As it stands I'm going to have to buy a Connect and a Bluetooth transmitter to get this to happen. Seems like this function should be built into a modern piece of equipment like the Sonos.
Hello. First post. Would appreciate some advice as I'm having difficulty finding anything online about this that isn't excessively technical. I'm streaming tidal via Sonos Connect, Sonlink arcam DAC, Arcam AR29 amp and KEF LS50s and Monitor Audio BXw10 sub with decent quality cables and stands etc. Would the modified Connect make an improvement in sound that would justify the expense?
Hello All I currently have one of my Sonos Connects playing through a Yamaha RX-V1500 Amp and a pair of floorstanding Linn Keilidh speakers in our large living room 10m x 5m with a double height ceiling.... and the sound is good to my old ears. But time has come to change the floor speakers to something wall mounted. We already have speaker cables in the wall approximately 2.5 m in from each end along the long wall. So, I am looking for some recommendations for speakers that I would be able to find in Europe.
My Connect Amp is flashing white and Orange. I submitted diagnostic information; Your confirmation number is: 7106534. I disconnected speakers and tried to play music with controller, still flashing even white.orange.white.orange. Any help would be appreciated.
I would really like some of the speakers and/or connect devices to have a display. I'm slowly replacing my Squeezebox components and really miss a display and local controls. I do not want to have to have my smartphone or ipad every time I want to change music. Let's get some serious kit made to be real HiFi components... I need a viable replacement for my Transporter.
Hello, do you think it would be possible to manufacture a new Sonos extension with multiple inputs ? A small box with 3 or 4 analogic entries and 3 to 4 numeric inputs. It would be a great function... why it soesn't exist ? too complicated ? impossible ? (to connect CDs player, MP3, Tuners, Mics, Dvd, BRay...)
I have only 1 digital out on my Sony TV, I use a fiber optic cable to connect with soundbar. I've purchased a Sennheiser RS195 wireless headphone set up. It has a optical input too. Since only output on TV, I guees I need a splitter 1 inpu, 2 output I also understand with using a splitter either my sound bar must be off or RS195 off. Any way around that? Any recommendations?
I have started to power down a Sonos Connect Amp during the week, and powering it back on again art weekends, in an attempt to lower my house-standby consumption. When I power it back on there is a distinct smell coming from it, a sort of component smell. All is well, it powers on and works fine and the smell dissipates, not returning until the next power cycle. Anyone else experience this? Mine is actually a ZP120, but I assume they are essentially the same. I have two, one which is on all the time, so I might swap it over, but I am interested to know if there is anything I can do, as I fear it might be about to fail permanently.
Hi, We are in the process of buying a house that has one set of speakers with control pad (called Systemline E50). We cannot add to the system so my plan is to take the pad out and use Sonos instead (but still use the speakers that come with the system in the ceiling. I would want to use a sonos to control what is played through these speakers (but I want to add some outdoor speakers). I believe I will have to find the speaker wire and plug it into a Connect: AMP. We apparently have wiring outside to connect outdoor speakers. My plan is to use the Connect: AMP for both of them and get a switch such as QED SS30. I want to play either the same music in the living room and outside but also have the option of playing them separately. i.e. A & B, A or B. My Question: I want to know that if I buy the following if they will work together and achieve what I'm looking for. The speakers I have in the living room ceiling say this on the spec: (there are 2 speakers
I am looking to wire up a house and use built in speakers to create 6 zones (inside & outside), inclusive of a TV surround set up that I would like to have available as a separate SONOS zone when not watching TV. I am assuming CONNECT:AMPs for zones to connect to built in speakers, CONNECT for my existing traditional set-up with amp/preamp/speakers, and I don't know how to create a full surround TV zone that uses only built in speakers? Any ideas? We're starting the wiring two days from now... Thank you!
I am going to give this a try as my current setup works fine for an hour or two then gets 'flakey' dropping the connection to Spotify or stopping then going back to the start of the playlist. I have three zones - 1 a playbar 2- a play 5 and 3 a pair of ones married to a sub. Anyone retro fitted a boost? Any thing to avoid? Any tips to help with the install?
