A good possible product for Sonos and custom installers would be a CI multi-zone amp (like a Denon Heos Drive HS2). Rather than having to buy 4x separate Sonos Amps at £599, this CI amp could cost around the £2000 mark.

Benefits of the Sonos Amp CI:
-Cheaper for customers
-Reduce shipping costs by sending a single box (rather than 4x Sonos Amps)
-Possibility of a Sonos Amp CI Pro (adding more digital inputs, more analogue inputs, sub out, 6x speaker zones, additional ethernet)
Details:
-4x speaker zones from a single unit
-Network boards internally bridged to allow a single ethernet connection (wi-fi not available due to bandwidth limitations)
-Out the box the CI Amp would appear as 4 separate zones within the app
-Inputs can be assigned / locked to specific zones
-Rack mountable
-Zones can be ‘permanently’ linked together, appearing as one zone within the Sonos App
